I've had this for a while now and used it for many DIY projects at home. So much easier than trying to line spirit levels up etc, putting up shelves takes half the time. I've found blu-tack works quite well for blocking the windows if you don't want to the laser coming out of all sides (often working around the kids so I don't want it shining in their eyes).

Bosch Cross line Laser AdvancedLevel 360 The biggest bonus with this laser level set is the tripod, which is something that is rarely included with a laser level. Also included is a set of 4 x AA batteries, along with a soft bag for storing the laser level unit itself. I was rather surprised that this will only work off a set of 4 AA batteries, there is no internal rechargeable battery included which seems to be the standard with most other laser levels that I have checked out. Using external batteries does have it's advantages though as a new set could always be installed if the batteries give out during use, whereas an internal rechargeable battery would take some time to be recharged. Some models have a pull-out holder where AA batteries can be inserted as a backup if the internal battery were to fail, this is not the case here as it's just AA battery powered. As far as quality is concerned, this appears well made and looks as if it's able to stand up to the rigours of being used on a building site. The main body appears to me made from ABS type plastic with hard silicone edging to absorb any shocks if dropped. As the laser unit is self levelling it can be used on it's own, or placed on the supplied tripod. The tripod is the star of the show here, it has 3 extendable legs, each can be individually adjusted to compensate for uneven ground, the tripod is also sturdy and well made. The laser level doesn't have to be placed exactly level as it is self levelling, but you don't want it sitting at too much of an angle, a built in spirit level is provided for this purpose. The legs have adjustable rubber feet for stability. The laser level is quite compact when compared to others that I've had, which makes for easy carrying around. To operate is fairly simple, there is a slide switch for power and a single mode button that cycles through the various options. The laser colour is green which I find is the easiest to see, the laser lines are crisp and bright. Overall this appears well made and works as expected. The claimed working range is between 12 - 24 metres which should be enough for anything but the largest of projects. I do like the simple operation, just press mode to cycle through the various laser options. Although I would have preferred to have had a built in rechargeable battery with the option of AA as a back up. The carry bag does not have a handle, neither belt loop which would have made it easier for transport. I must admit this does feel a little pricey for what you receive, although it is useful to have a sturdy tripod included. There are already loads of pics of this on the listing, so here goes with my thoughts. This is ideal if you are renovating a property if you are intending to flip it, will mean that once the walls and ceilings are done you can centre all the things in the room, light fittings, cabinets, wardrobes, bathroom cabinets etc etc etc, even down to hanging wall art. My husband does not own a laser level, is old school with a tatty spirit level, but is the family go to helper for diy. There is a good chance that we might go for a slightly sorry for it's self bungalow as our next home, which might mean a far bit of tarting up. As long as it is liveable in the short term we can think about the next moves. I think this might well come in handy, we also have a builder friend who is toying with the idea of using my husband as his batman, boy wonder, ie if you needs a second pair of hands to complete jobs. So between them both this is going to come in handy. I think if you are the sort of person who is capable to doing most diy tasks yourself you will find this useful. I like the fact that it is battery powered, if you are using it as a trades person and it dies while you are out you might not be able to charge it in someone's old style house with no usb points. If you have a pack of batteries you can pop some in use it and then turn it off and take them out! The number of times, I charge something fully and then use it for ten mins, go back to it, five days later to find it flat, it's a bit of a joke. Being old school, I prefer the batteries! Happy to recommend, my husband has had a Bosch Drill for years, only on his second one in 36 years of marriage. You know you are getting a quality item when you by Bosch Tools!

We think that this would make a good gift idea for the more enthusiastic or advanced DIY’er in your life. ☑️ Good brand with a good reputation in the tools market. ☑️ some green credentials with the use of recycled, plastic, recycled, fibres, and polybag free packaging. This is nice it adds to the overall utility of the product – buy the product has to be fit for purpose for any of these green credentials to count. ☑️ Sturdy and easy to use and as accurate as our other line laser units. ☑️ This takes standard replaceable batteries. This means that they can easily be replaced, but we would have preferred a rechargeable integrated battery pack. ☑️ we like this comes as a set of includes a tripod and a carry case. ☑️ More advanced than cheaper models. We’ve tried as this has a horizontal 360° laser level, two vertical laser lines in a 90° angle and also has one plum down point. ☑️ This is a green laser light unit which is apparently four times better in terms of visibility when compared to units with red laser lines. We’ve never really had any issues with RedLaser lines in the past, but if you have, you might want to consider a green laser line. This is expensive, but it is an impressive piece of kit. The question is whether you’re get enough utility and use out of it for the money. If you are a very basic and every now and then DIY participant then this might not be worth the investment.

It's a good level. The laser is green in colour with good visibility. The self level mechanism seems accurate, and the ability to turn on and off additional planes is very useful. BUT for a kit of this price they should have included a clamp bracket to allow you to attach the level to a leg of the tripod for low down work. I do recommend the level, but you will need additional support methods if you want to level low down, the height of electrical sockets for example. *****UPDATE AFTER SERIOUS USE - The supplied Tripod is absolute garbage. It is too stiff on all the joints to make any accurate adjustments to the levels itself. Basically with this kit you are buying the actual level. The tripod is not worth using and makes using the level a very frustrating process******

I would like to review this product in a few areas: 1. Environmental friendliness: It uses green packaging. The Bosch Crossline laser uses more than 80% recycled plastic and metal to produce the body and parts. 2. User friendly: The instruction is very clear and setup is easy to perform. The cross line laser can easily switch between laser lines by pressing the Mode button. Toggle between 3 laser configurations: laser cross, all laser lines and plumb point, or 360° horizontal line. 3. Accuracy: when you wants to perform a project at home and to make it perfect, accuracy is very key. Other than the easy to use I mentioned in point 2, I also cross check with my other tools, it shows the measurement is very accurate and makes me easier to perform a better job. The laser itself is bright and easy to read which further enhances the accuracy of all measurements. 4. Build quality: other than great performance, the build quality is excellent. The build of the body is solid and sturdy. It also comes with a tripod which allows me to toggle the cross line laser to a different angle easily. The tripod quality is excellent as well and it stands properly without wobbling. I have been using Bosch products for home improvements and it never disappointed me in terms of performance and quality. Price is a bit higher when comparing to similar products in the market but I would prefer to purchase a product which gives me confidence.

Der Bosch AdvancedLevel hat meine Erwartungen vollkommen erfüllt. Der Kreuzlinienlaser ist schnell einsatzbereit und erleichtert viele Arbeiten im Haus enorm – egal ob Bilder aufhängen, Regale montieren oder andere Projekte. Die Linien sind gut sichtbar und die Selbstnivellierung funktioniert zuverlässig. Besonders praktisch finde ich, dass bereits ein Stativ dabei ist, wodurch man sofort loslegen kann. Die Verarbeitung ist, wie man es von Bosch kennt, hochwertig und das Gerät wirkt sehr robust. Fazit: ✔️ Gut sichtbare Linien ✔️ Präzise Messergebnisse ✔️ Selbstnivellierung funktioniert zuverlässig ✔️ Praktisches Stativ im Lieferumfang ✔️ Hochwertige Bosch-Qualität
