A great little knife.
I have carried one of these for almost 20 years. It’s not going to help you take down a bear, but for the other 99.99% of the times you need a knife to cut some rope or open a package or scrape some dirt out from under your nails, this does the trick. I love how small and compact it is. I put it in my pocket and it disappears until I need it. I have a knife when I need one and don’t have to carry around a two pound hunk of steel. This thing is so small sometimes I forget that I even have it causing me to donate them to the TSA. It’s. Great little knife for the price that I will continue to own and donate to security checkpoints

My daily knife
I have used a lot of different knives and Gerber knives have been the best. This one is small enough and lightweight so that is is comfortable in my pocket, but big enough to be useful. I have used this particular knife for probably 30 years. It holds an edge well.

Hands Down Best Folding Pocket Knife for the Money!
I have been using the Gerber LST folding knives for well over a decade, and they are GREAT little knives. I keep the smallest version in my pocket at all times, especially at work. It's so small and light, you forget it's in there, but when you need it, it's ready. These little blades keep their edge for a ridiculously long time. The next size up is perfect when working outside, camping, fishing or hunting. It's just big enough to get most outdoor jobs done, but small enough not to get in the way or weigh you down. I have one in each of my backpacks, all my outdoor gear bags, one (maybe two) in my truck and one in my pocket if I'm outdoors. They're just too awesome, cheap and handy not to have them lying around.I use the biggest size for cleaning harvested animals and it is by far my favorite knife for the task. I have purchased dozens of specialty knives over the years that promise to make cleaning game a little easier, but every time, I go back to my little Gerber LST and knock it out. The drop point is perfect for removing the hide without puncturing it and it just fits well in the hand. One of the best things about the LST line is how long the edge lasts. I only need to sharpen and LST after cleaning two or three animals. Most other knives require several sharpenings per animal. It's handy, it's inexpensive, it's tough, it's light... why wouldn't you have this in your pocket? Get this little knife and prepare to purchase several more, you're going to love it.

Absolutely awesome. Sizes available super confusing though.
Extremely high quality, no issues with durability so far, probably my favorite little knife I own. I bought 2, one was the size I wanted and one was much smaller. The listing is a bit confusing, but the products made up for it.

Good small knife!
I have several of these knives and always keep one in my pocket. They are not very big but quite sharp and lock-back and American made!

Carried it all 2200 miles on the Appalachian Trail
I have been a backpacker for over 40 years so when I decided to do the AT I knew I didn't need much of a knife. You are not out there building forts and killing and skinning bears. A concerned friend of mine tried to give me a much larger pocket knife to carry but I declined. For decades I had carried a Swiss Army Classic but the AT made me give all my gear a new look and I really didn't miss the toothpick or tweezer the Classic had.The knife would be used for cutting cord and cheese but actually chose to use my teeth for cheese. Besides the occasional cord cutting I also used it to cut the top off Smart water bottles to make a scoop for retrieving shallow water, cut a beer can in half to make a alcohol stove when there was no butane cartridges available, cut open boxes when picking up packages as the Post Office, and cut a ground cloths for under a tent or tarp. It did everything I asked of it and I will continue to carry it on all my backpacking trips. Even though used only occasionally, at .6 of an ounce I can't imagine anything better at earning its weight.

Great small lock blade knife!
I recently lost a lock blade knife made by Zippo. That knife was 25 years old and given to me by a co-worker/friend who passed away. That knife had sentimental value as well as being a small, practical pocket knife for those occasions when you need a knife. Everyone should have a pocket knife, right? I bought this knife to replace the lost knife and while it is not an exact replacement, it comes pretty close. The blade, when exposed, measures right at 2 inches so some will find the knife too short. It is a little shorter than the Zippo I had, but I have adjusted to the blade length with no problems. The handle and lock system are solid and feel sturdy. The blade is plenty sharp and is holding a good edge. This is a decent knife for the price. I am very happy with it. While it is not the knife given to me by my friend, it will still remind me of him and therefore serve both purposes.
