I had not used peel & stick veneer before but my project had 2 quarter-cylinder-ish parts that made vaccum pressing awkward, mainly the indide curves. I followed directions & had great success: seal the bare wood substrate with 2 coats sanded poly, press VERY firmly with a stiff card (a free 3x4" formica sample with hand-rounded edges) & repress as needed at the edges over the first 10-15 minutes (curves!, grrrrrrr), let cure 24 hours. Veneer itself (cherry) is beautiful for my needs - smooth, straight grain with almost no "character" (knots or strong grain curls). Very happy.

This is a high quality product that looks amazing but it is difficult to work with. If you are a novice you will need someone with experience to guide you. It comes in rolls so that also makes it a little trckier to work with easily.

I’ve used this same brand of veneer many times over the years, and have never had a problem before. Even though I prepped the substrate the same as always, the veneer started coming loose after a few days.
