Huge upgrade over my cheap snorkel
Bought this in time for a snorkeling trip/cruise to the Caribbean. SO impressed. It happened to be windy the whole time we were down there, and very choppy water the whole time. Not a DROP of water down my snorkel. It was weird to have it close off suddenly when a wave went over me, but super nice to just resume breathing normally, no purging required. Apnea diving became a lot easier, just dive, surface, keep snorkeling. No need to take my head above water or purge or anything, just keep swimming. Bite section is awesome, especially once you realize that you don't need to hold it in your teeth, just keep your lips closed around it. Silicone material is SO much softer than PVC on my last snorkel. For sure the best snorkeling investment I've made since I bought fins. The only "con" is that I now "need" to buy a silicone lined mask to go with my much higher end snorkel.

Dry or dangerous
Older model is safer mechanical tip is dangerous rather the rubber fault the top not open sell replacement repair parts. I lost my old one can’t find another one

Soft silicone mouthpiece is essential
Scuba diver here who started swimming laps for exercise and realized how much longer and further I could swim. This is the cheapest snorkel I’ve ever bought but as high a quality as others selling for >$100. Soft mouthpiece means your not holding or clenching to keep i tinplate. It’s not rubbing anyplace or exacerbating a TMJ problem. Buy this one!

One of the best snorkels
The snorkel is one of the best very little water in it, and it’s real easy to clear usually no water. If you’re snorkeling, and you go down underwater, no water goes in the snorkel at all you can come up and breathe easy.
