Powerful Little Saw
Nice little saw with a lot of power. However, it is what it is. This is an imported DeWalt imitation. Do not expect to get a made in USA tool. It does have a nice feature of integral oiler that many of these do not have. This will extend blade life and allow for smother operation. I have used mine a few times with good results. The plastic safety guard is junk as the thumb screw continually needs to be tightened while using. The safety strap may or may not be useful, as I think it is just one more thing to get in the way, but if you are hanging from a ladder and need to free up a hand, I guess you could use it to hang the saw onto something. Batteries charged up pretty quickly and last for a while. It uses the regular Harbor Freight import design for imported batteries, which isn't really a bad thing, but is what's expected at this price. The batteries are designed to look like DeWalt 20V, but they are not. My loving wife heard me say how impressed I was with its operation that she went out and bought me a second one to bring to the camp. Gotta love her. So now I have two of these. I have to say, for a hundred bucks, it is a nice little kit that comes with everything, including a spare chain, and is a lot easier to grab instead of going out and fuel up the 12" Stihl chainsaw. I am satisfied with my purchase and hope these batteries last at least a couple years.

Best hand Tool Ever!
I’ve had this tool for months now and I’ve probably used about 13 or 14 times. Easy to use, lightweight, no backlash, not intimidating. Very effective handheld mini chainsaw. Perfect for trimming overgrowth, branches, thick hedging, hedge removal etc. This is the best tool I think I’ve ever purchased. I would recommend this to anybody 100%. Comes in a handy storage case with a extra battery, charger, extra chain, tools, eye protection, and charges quickly. You just have to buy the oil separately. Would make an amazing Christmas gift for any gardener or home owner who does their own yard maintenance. Wishing I had purchased this earlier. Very affordable too.

For the price it's awesome. Be prepared to tighten the chain often.
For the price range this thing is in, it's pretty amazing. I have 2 of these and use them for land maintenance at multiple renaissance faire camps (where my crew has been granted a camp plot [Sherwood, TRF, FOC]). It's not gonna stand up to a gas operated Stihl, but it's a 10th of the price. Many of the children (8-12) in our group were able to operate these (with adult supervision) with ease. The adults in our group have all had a turn with this little chain saw and a few plan to purchase thier own. Handy for brush clearing, small trees, and firewood shortening.Pros:LightEasy to useCuts fantastically (for the price range)Cheap replacement chains ($11)Easy to work on (change chain)Battery life of 45 min to an hour of almost continuous usePower indicator light on the batterySafety button to engage triggerBad font on the blade makes for a fun joke. "I'm dum(b)"Makes your friend with the fancy chainsaw laugh.Cons:Oil WILL leak out of the oil reserve when stored in the case if you do not store the case in such a way that the saw is vertical (standing on the battery). I keep the case separate and just store mine in my truck toolbox upright. (-.5 star)Chain gets loose even when oiled with continuous use (from branch to branch) about every 15th to 20th cut when dealing with 1"-2" branches. (Make sure to carry that Phillip's screwdriver they give you in your pocket) (-.5 star)Saw will shut itself off about 4 seconds into motor running when battery is down to a single bar. (If you're almost through that branch, you can pull the battery off, remount it, and get a few more seconds of run time)Batteries take about 60-75 minutes to fully charge, so prep for break time about every 90 minutes if you're planning to use this all day.Overall I would definitely recommend this to anyone who camps regularly in slightly overgrown areas or needs to clear some light brush, clean up a foot path through the woods, or just get that scavenged firewood the right size for your firepit.

Tiny titan champion chainsaw!
I researched a bunch of different mini-chainsaws and chose this one for the price, power, and size. I didn’t want to have to fire up a big chainsaw to do a little job (that’s more than nippers and pruners can handle). Everything you need other than chain oil comes in a convenient plastic ‘toolbox’ with flip over lid.The batteries came partially charged (3 bars out of 4) out of the box, so I topped them off while reading the instructions. The chain tension came set up at 3mm so no adjustment needed. I also installed the chain guard and filled and primed the chain oil reservoir.I used the saw on a bunch of 1-2” saplings and they yielded to the saw like stalks of butter. Next I moved on to a couple of small African Tulips (4-5” trunks) that needed to go, so I took saw to task and the machine never balked and only bound the chain once when I was positioned in a bad angle - gotta plan your cuts taking lay of the land and gravity into account! HeheThe trigger has a safety that you need to depress with your thumb that will allow you to pull the trigger to start the saw. The safety worked as it should and engaged a couple of times, stopping the saw. When I was done cutting two trees and saplings and cutting the branches down, the battery still had 3 bars of juice left. Inspection and cleaning of the saw afterward revealed no excessive wear or loosening of components including the chain bar and chain.Overall I rate this product with the highest marks from my direct experience with it. This may change in the future if it does not hold up over time. Since I have more trees and foliage to cut, I may return to update this review over time, and may or may not change my rating. Mahalo and happy yardwork!
