This thing so far has been great! All the parts are quality. Now I am just in the process of tempering the crucibles. Both sets of tongs are high quality.

First order was damaged, no refund processed. Second order still hasn't arrived 4 weeks later???

Worked very good and easy to use. Wish this set came with a furnace.

Impressed at the quality of the tongs, looks to be stainless steel jaws and aluminum handles. I was expecting some thin cheep crap but there actually thick high quality extruded aluminum and are extremely solid. Quite impressed

I purchased the #8 10kg version of this set. It arrived today and when I opened the box the crucibles looked a bit small. Now, it's pretty easy to determine volume, and once you have that along with the density of your material, you can calculate weight. So, I put the crucible on the scale, tared it, and filled it to the brim with water. As you can see in the picture it held 971 grams of water, which translates to 971 cubic centimeters (cc,). Copper is the typical standard for these crucibles (aluminum, brass, and bronze are lighter) and weighs 8.93 grams per cubic centimeter.971 X 8.93 = 8,671 grams or 8.67 kg. NOT 10kg!Otherwise, this is a nice well-made set. Too bad the crucible capacity is not correct.
