Surprisingly fabulous
I am a white woman in my 60s with shoulder length thick frizzy hair. I usually use a blow dryer and several round brushes plus a flat iron or curling iron on my hair to make it look presentable. Lately, I have felt that it was just too much work and my hair never looks as smooth and sleek as when my stylist does my hair. I have been looking at these all in one devices for a while but I just couldn't spend so much money and I did not need all of the attachments. But, I decided to give this one last shot before I cut off my hair. It is excellent. It is big but it is not heavy or unwieldy. I have been using it 2 months now and love it and would definitely recommend it. It dries my hair faster than a traditional blow dryer and while it doesn't give my hair curls, they waves are soft and perfect for every day. Easy to use, easy to store in the heat proof bag and yes, a good value for the money. I definitely recommend it.

Wow, Just Wow!
I am an older woman, and religiously dye my grays. The texture and thickness of my hair have changed over the years, and now my hair is thin and frizzy. Frizzy from grays, and from overdyeing them. Believe me when I say I have tried every product (cheap and expensive) hair styling doo-dad and product out there, that claim to target my hair’s problems. Some I have had pretty good results with, and others? Not so much. My current regime is Pureology hair products for frizzy and dry hair, with the Revlon dry air brush. The Revlon gives decent results, but I could never, ever duplicate, or come close to duplicating, a professional blowout by my talented hair stylist. I just had to accept the fact that I am old, and younger-looking hair is not in the cards for me anymore.Enter this doo-dad. I was visiting my sister over the Christmas holiday, and she raved about this product. I decided to try it, and wow! My hair looked almost as sleek and beautiful as it does when I leave the salon! I don’t know if it is a combination of good hair products with this doo-dad that did it, but I was seriously impressed! I immediately purchased one, and am eagerly awaiting Amazon to deliver before I take my shower. Here is how I achieved beautiful hair.1) Start by using the best quality hair product you can afford for your hair type. Don’t scrimp on this part of you can. Shampoo, hair conditioner, styling product, heat protectant, etc.2) Divide your wet hair into sections. I turn the blowdryer mode on the hottest setting for my hair, and wrap each section around the brush until the hair is dry. I do this until my entire head is dry. At this point, my hair looks pretty good, but the next step is where the magic happens.3) I then go over my hair in the same fashion as before , with the heat only setting on. Ahhhhhh! Gone is the frizzy and thin hair! In its place is shiny, wavy, slick hair that shows off the layers in my long hair.My Revlon dry air brush is now delegated back into my drawer, and I honestly don’t know if I will use it again. Also, yes, this product is a little heavy, but so was my Revlon air dry brush. It feels like a solid appliance to me, and I couldn’t be happier with it.

Suited for hair types A1 - 3b!!
I’ve had this round blow drying and thermal styling brush for 9 months now. I think it’s one of the best I’ve used for curly hair because it drys the hair at a higher temperature than most. It is seemly powerful but has a quiet air flow. It is much more quiet than my babyliss which is number 1 for all curly hair. There is a swivel on the cord so it doesn’t tangle as you use it. I must say it is heavy and bulky. Sometimes my hair would snag on the portion of thermal plates on the sides, which can cause unnecessary breakage. If I still have product residue in my hands the device slips. For reference my hands barely fit fully around the base of the dryer. I dropped it a few times and the bottom came apart but I popped it back in place. Since then if I goto use the heating setting it starts to have visible smoke and smell of burnt hair. I don’t know if I have to change the filter. However I think this is not a user issue. I first noticed a burnt smell turning on the thermal setting after a few uses and I would just make sure no hairs were on the ironing plates. As far as hair protection goes there is no way to adjust the amount of heat you are using except for an indicator light on the outside. I do like that shark included in the instructions an estimate of heat being used but finer hair doesn’t need the same amount of heat as more course hair. I don’t believe I’ve noticed any damage though as a 3b/3c hair type. I think the plates can reach my roots but it isn’t gripping the hair enough like a chasing method would. Overall I would say if you have 3c hair, it may not do very much for the root of the hair. It works and is a top 5 dryer of mine especially for if I’m traveling. A blow out is much less time consuming or compact than carrying a flat iron.it is a 2 in one. More suited for 1A-3b hair types. I think shark could improve the design to extend it’s features even further for curly hair like 3C to 4C. Hope this helps!!!

I was skeptical
I was skeptical because of the bad reviews but once I tried the brush and saw how great my hair looked, I’m sold. I did the wet to dry setting then the dry setting once my hair was all dry. My hair is soft, bouncy and not frizzy. Feels better than how it feels with my conair brush. Highly recommend.
