What a remarkable mind this man had! (The best, most accurate version of Tesla's Autobiography)
One of the most prolific and forgotten contributors to the modern technological world, a true genius and futurist, well ahead of his time. The man led an extraordinary life, inventing many of the technologies we take for granted today; father of polyphase alternating current, wireless radio technology (not Marconi), A-C induction motor, tesla coil, remote control, fluorescent lights and wireless energy transmission which were amongst the 381,968 patents he held.I bought 'The Strange Life Of Nikola Tesla' on amazon, however sent it back and purchased this more accurate/untampered version of Tesla's autobiography after doing some research on other versions of Tesla's writings which apparently had certain things omitted and added, and were not as accurate. The book has an excellent introduction by Samantha Hunt on Tesla's early life and gives the reader an insight into his mind before you begin to read Tesla's own words in the later chapters.

Tesla - the man, not the car
A collection of articles from American journals: the earliest dated 1893 and the latest 1919. Nikola Tesla tells of his remarkable childhood in Europe, his training and rapid career development as an engineer, from France and eventually to the US. Having walked out on Edison, which could have ended his young career, he went on to help transform the 20th Century with groundbreaking contributions to the generation and distribution of electricity.Along the way he encounters and experiences many strange events. At times these resemble the creations of a fertile imagination and one is hard-pressed to separate the truth from the fiction. It's an extraordinary tale, nonetheless.Tesla's inventions and ideas are too many and varied to summarise here, but he clearly under-achieved, which may account for the fact that more people have heard of Musk's electric cars than the genius they were named after. Perhaps he needed a business partner who could help him to maintain focus and channel his energies more effectively (as James Watt had with the entrepreneur Matthew Boulton). The absence of diagrams will frustrate the technically-minded, although the editor does indicate where the original articles (complete with illustrations) may be found. The book is reasonably priced and very quotable.

Intentionally ommitted illustrations
A very insightful text about the life and works of Nikola Tesla. I was extremely disappointed to find that all of the numerous diagrams, pictures and illustrations referred to throughout the text have been deliberately omitted from the publication, the author stating "Interested readers may access the original photographs and other images from the New York Public Library".

A great compassionate man.
Nikola is an Angel. I didn't expect to laugh as much as I did. He was so innocent. He was so great. A true inventor, creator and a gentleman. My favourite genius.
