These moving blankets are helpful to me while I'm recording my books for Audible. They help reduce the noise, and the recordings come out very well. They are only eight pounds each, and I bought two of them. They cut out much of the noise. They are double-stitched and solid in my hands. I'm finding them very useful. They have no odor, unlike the moving blankets found on moving vans.

These are pretty heavy and thick. Should protect items very well. They came up in a search for sound dampening which is what I was looking for. I am using them as a barrier between the main part of the office and where I have 3D printers. They do surprisingly well to block some of the sound. After trying multiple options I did not have high hopes. They aren't soundproof by any means but their thickness helps a lot. In the right configuration and area they can help with blocking some noise. True soundproofing options were very expensive compared to a couple of these and they do well enough for my use. They are built made very well and should last a long time.

I like these for a quick, prety cheap solution. Some I order have have defects but they were easily exchanged.

Didn’t make any difference in sound dampening in my studio. I also bought gap blockers for under the door of my double door entry , have solid doors, and this blanket was hung with a curtain rod to keep it close to the wall. I can still hear everything going on outside the door and people can hear me playing music. I put a white noise machine outside the door to try and help but it’s the only thing making an impact. What an utter disappointment but not returning because it would be a pain in the rear end to have to do so. Bummer! I can’t believe I paid so much for a cheap moving blanket disguised as a product for studios.

It’s massive, truly, but that’s about it. It doesn’t dampen sound. Tested multiple times, can still hear clearly. A waste for me. It’s heavy and large. Doesn’t suit the purpose I bought it for at all. Keeps out the light though? So… I guess that’s a plus?

The functionality for these blankets are excellent! I only needed four of these to cover my entire vocal booth. They really do their job of canceling sound.
