Excellent Technical Support and Clear Picture
So I read all the reviews on this product and ones just like it. But from all my research it seemed J-Tech was one of the best so I purchased the extender. Seemed simple enough. Plugged everything in, and nothing. No picture. So I spent a day troubleshooting myself. I made sure all the components worked on their own when not connected to the extender. So had to be the extender right? So I sent a lengthy email to J-Tech. The next morning Nathon G. from tech support responded and asked me to try a different troubleshooting technique to make sure the extender was working, which I was able to confirm it was. The next day he sent me information from my monitor manual and recommended I reduce the refresh rate on the NVR. Wouldn't you know it? Boom working like a charm. Excellent response time and a very thorough review of the other components in my system, that were actually causing the problem. I will definitely purchase J-Tech in the future as well as recommending their products.

Great picture quality
I purchased several of these units to replace my old (RGB) component-over-CAT5 system. As my new TVs have transitioned to HDMI, my old system no longer supported the best picture standard (and some sets don't even have RGB inputs). Replacing the old RGB-over-CAT5 units was simple and the new system works well. So far, I am transmitting only 1080P content, with excellent picture quality. I intend to begin using 4K content and will update if anything is amiss.I like that the power comes from the transmitting end, so I don't need an outlet or power supply at the TV. One downside is that the old RGB system "lived" behind a wall faceplate, presenting a clean look at the TV. In reality, most installations effectively hide the HDMI receiver unit behind the TV set and a "blank" faceplate with a clean hole provides a transition for the CAT5 cable from the wall--which I prefer over yet more connectors in the signal path by using a CAT5 outlet plate. So far, I am using only the picture transmitting capabilities as the existing sound transmission system (goes to free standing local speakers, not the actual TV speakers) is better in so many ways than the speakers inside most TVs. My control system works as before and does not require the IR over CAT5 capability, so that feature was not put to the test either (though J-Tech includes all the cabling for remote IR connectivity!). Still, that additional flexibility is a nice to have for future expansion. Not well described in the product description, is that the system has blue lights in both sender and receiver, which are very informative to indicate proper connection of power and signals. Some black tape might be added to dim the blinking in a dark room. One other minor complaint is this version does not fully support routing a single CAT5 to multiple receivers and these receiver/transmitters are sold only in pairs. It is not clear which functions would be disabled and for now, this does not impact my system. J-Tech has other models which support multiple receivers from a single CAT5 line. J-Tech technical support was excellent and very helpful in my rather complex situation.A final comment is that the quality of HDMI cables varies--even ones claiming to be HDMI2 or 4K compatible. I had a few problems at installation including 4 J-Tech pairs, and EVERY issue was traced to a bad HDMI cable. You will need a several HDMI cables--buy the best--and then swap suspect cables around till you find the bad one(s).

Good Value
I thought my existing extender which had been in service for six years had a problem so I purchased this J-Tech, as the price was competitive and the reviews seemed good. It turned out that my problem (no video between the output of my Denon receiver in an AV closet and my Samsung flatscreen on another room wall 30 ft away) was a loose HDMI connection. (I REALLY wish the consumer electronics industry would push to require dual retaining screws on either side of the metal body of all HDMI connectors, but they assume that once connected most users will almost never move any of the equipment-BAD assumption! period.) I digress. turns out this J-Tech Extender is made by the same company as the one I already had but I'm keeping it for a spare because I like the J-Tech support reviews and will hope that I never need it!

Doesn't work with 4K!
When my in-wall HDMI cable started to sketch out, I feared that I'd be tearing out the wall and doing a lot of drywall work - of which I'm not a fan. However, I also had a couple of unused CAT6 wires in that same path (what with everything being wireless now), and set out to find a solution that used them. What could have been a weekend project turned into a 30 minute fix, thanks to this device. I'm not using the IR capability, but based on the performance of the HDMI functionality I have no doubt this is a quality product that works as it is intended to. I considered giving it four stars for what I feel is a somewhat inflated price, but given the amount of time and effort it saved me, five it is.UPDATE: I recently upgraded my TV to a 4K unit, confident in the idea that this device would provide signal transfer from my 4K Denon receiver to my 4K Samsung television. But alas, I was disappointed. The run is only about 25 feet, and over CAT6 cabling it fails to support 4K resolution. It works great at 1080p, but I bought this with the expectation of upgrading to 4K in time. It has let me down in this regard, so dropping to 1 star.

120hz over 50 feet no issue.
I use this with my PC in another room with 50’ CAT6A to a tv in my living room and it does provide Video @ 4K 120hz with audio.

DO NOT BUY ELECTRONIC ITEMS FROM AMAZON OR FROM GLOBAL HUB THEY CHEAT THE CUSTOMERS.
who ever is reading this, do not buy anything from Global Hub or from Amazon, they are really unprofessional. I ordered this product and a faulty product was delivered to me, i returned this to Global Hub, they send me an other product which was nothing but the same product packed in a different box.I have been talking to Global Hub for 2 months, a post that they don't answer any of your calls, with a desperation I reached out to Amazon, they took the complaint to refund on 15th April 2020 and till date no action has been taken, now they come back to me stating it is 90 days you are not eligible for a refund. I have been trying to reach them and they conveniently delete all the emails, calls and state nothing was done. They should be ashamed of cheating their customers.

Works perfectly with Australian Foxtel IQ4
This extender works perfectly with Australian Foxtel IQ4, using only 1 Cat5 LAN UTP cable. The IR repeater functions perfectly also. The only negatives to speak of are that the units get relatively warm, requiring adequate ventilation, and the power adapter only comes with a USA 110VAC style plug (interchangeable, but no Australian version included).
