The combination of the length together with the fleecy lining makes this jacket warm, warmer than any other coat I have ever had before. 2) The zipper is a double zipper, closing up and also with the option of unzipping the bottom as needed when you bend or sit. The zipper also is large and sturdy, with sturdy pulls. 3) The hood actually works. It closes up and has a string to hold it in place in a high wind. It’s not just a useless ornament that flops over your eyes and blows off all the time. 4) Flap over the zipper. This flap snaps in place as needed and adds extra insulation. 5) Pockets. LOTS of pockets. Four on the outside, one inside. Two of the outside pockets are slant pockets which zip closed. A must for outdoor sports and work! 6) That fleecy lining is just plain comforting. It feels warm even when you first put the jacket on. 7) Color selection.
