Stays sharp, use for CNC WORK
When you only have a 0.25” collet in your CNC, but need to get down to small diameter detail work, this taper bit is tough and gets the job done. I hate to have one of any tool so bought a second one after several months of constant use, just in case. Great workhorse bit.

This is a nice quality bit
I have been ordering this same size bit from another seller here on Amazon, and the difference is night and day. The bits from the other seller here lately are delivered already dull and I suspect those are used bits. The reason I state this is because there is absolutely no way those bits can be new, especially when compared to way the SpeTool bit cuts, I am currently using my CNC machine carving my 4th piece with the SpeTool Tapered Ball Nose End Mill and it is still super sharp. The other sellers bits are cutting for me like the ones I replace when they are dull, all kinds of wood "fuzzies" ay the edges of cuts. With this bit for SpeTool I am not getting any of those "fuzzies" even on my 4th carve, so I highly recommend this bit.

Good quality bit, a good value
I have used this end mill several times now, it probably has about 20 hours of run time. It still cuts good as new. Compared to end mills that I paid much more for, I cannot tell a difference in performance with this one.I actually went back and purchased 4 more in different sizes.Make sure you understand that the dimension given of the ball nose is the radius, so the actual diameter is .060", call it 1/16" diameter in round numbers. Some CNC software needs radius, some the diameter in the tool description.

Amazing quality
At first I was skeptical getting this bit, but as they were highly recommended thought it would be worth a go.I've been using it for Corain carving and 3d models in hard wood. WOW! Over 60 hours on it and still as sharp as the day it were new. They cut so clean that clean up of fuzzies is a thing of the past. My new go to tool bits!!

Bit is ok but if you care about their bit database for apps watch out
This is the third or fourth bit from SpeTool where I've found issues with what they have for download with their tool database. Some were fairly minor but this one was a little more than that. When loading the metric settings for this bit they had left it at the same numbers as the imperial ... so the database was telling me that the max speed for this bit was somewhere around 56mm/min. That would take you weeks to make cuts with! Other bits have had completely wrong flute counts and another tapered bit had incorrect taper information which resulted in it not even touching the wood in many places where it should have been cutting. The bits themselves seem ok but they really need to get some quality control on their feeds and speeds database for them. It seems like it was just dumped in by an intern who could care less about any of it and uploaded.
