The recipe for Florentine biscuits originated in Europe but these ones from Maison Armorine are made in Brittany, France. The top layer of this sweet pastry consists of nuts and candied fruits mixed with sugar, butter and honey baked together in an oven. The bottom layer is covered in chocolate, and unlike traditional cookies, contain no flour or eggs.
