Each piece's height, weight, and the diameter of the base are listed below the photo of each chess piece. The set has an additional feature that allows you to add up to seven pounds of sand to the base of each chess piece. We've built this feature into each piece to help customers in very, windy areas. Most customers find they don't need to add any weight to the bases as the pieces are very stable without additional weight. However, the feature is available should you need it. It contains 64 14 inch pieces of plastic that snap together to form one solid piece of plastic. There are directions that come with the board that is easy to follow, but you must follow them to get the board to have smooth edges all around. Since the board is not designed to be put away after each use, it does not include a storage bag.
