I bought these because I have a 1Gb internet connection, but I was sometimes only getting around 100Mb speeds due to a bad cable issue. After replacing the cables with these, the connection has been stable and consistently over 900Mb. I bought the 3ft version, which ended up being perfect for connecting from the modem to the router and from the router to my server.
