There is no indication with digital numbers for speed of spin or temperatures, but even still it works and it got up to about 90C on the top plate center when the dial was pointed halfway to max. The spin went very fast without shooting the magnet off, centered and consistent. The stand is great. There is no temp probe that it comes with and I don’t see a plug for one either. There is a hole, but no hardware connection. But there is also no LCD screen for displaying a feedback temp either. In any case, it works well! Great things will happen with this.

This is a simple, no frills magnetic stir plate. Does feel a tiny bit flimsy considering what it is and the price, but can't complain as it does what is needed. I used a 1000ml Pyrex bottle on this and it stirred my solutions without any hiccups. place your container on top with the stir bar inside, then turn the dial to the needed speed. Thats all.

This stirrer came well packaged and seems very well made and reliable. It has forward and reverse rotation and includes the stand and an LCD screen with readout. The speed adjustment is immediate and works very well. The stand is heavy and sturdy. Overall, it's a very well made product and should do well for your home chemistry lab!

The first one I ordered came with an lcd screen that didn't work. Amazon replaced it with a second unit. The lcd screen does t work on the replacement either! 2 out of 2 were broken. Bad track record. Beware!

This is a nice quality stirrer at a decent price that will ensure lab safety and works well. I like that it stirs in both directions, is pretty sturdy and is easy to operate. The display is very user friendly and is an affordable addition to a lab setup for a STEM student.

This electric stirrer is very simple and not at all hard to use. It is easy to setup and get started. I expected it to feel a little more substantial, but for what it does there aren’t any issues. The LCD display is easy to read. When changing the speed, it is very responsive. Everything remains in place due to the nonslip mat on the metal plate.

I ordered this to get a small chemistry lab started for learning-by-doing and personal projects. It's a very reliable machine and seems to be built to keep around long-term. Initially, I regretted not getting the slightly more expensive version with an LCD screen that shows the hot plate temperature. As is, I have to use an external temperature probe to check multiple times and make sure the plate is at a certain heat setting, which quickly becomes a bit of nuisance. However, I've been reading a few other reviews that suggest the LCD version may be more flaky, so I've come to accept this one as is and am not bothered by the lack of a built-in temperature display anymore.This item is very competitively priced against some of the better known brands that are significantly more expensive. If you're on a tight budget but need a magnetic hot plate stirrer, this one is an excellent option. I'm keeping an eye on this brand and will continue to buy other lab supplies and equipment from their catalogue. Recommended...
