But the test is multiple choice! *I have a uv5r pro 8watt ham walkie-talkie. Got the book to Study! U will learn how to connect to Repeaters- and U could talk to someone as far away as- EAST COAST TO WEST COAST!! AND U GET BETTER RANGE IN THE CITY!! When you're not on A REPEATER OR REPEATERS!! *JUST to much to print out for you-but the question is how far do you want to TAKE IT?? IT DOES INVOLVE COMMITMENT!! I used this in my Ford 450 hot shot for communicating with my escort car during a wide load. I could hear truckers within 200 feet. I heard my escort car perfectly Behind me over 95 feet. You will hear lots of truckers close by while sitting in traffic. Hope this helps.

In the woods it's terrible more like 50 -100 yards. Don't waste your money

Works great, would recommend getting a extendable antenna with it. Uses AM channels so mainly for long range use. Check what type of channels your local group uses if you have one but is great overall

Works good for the price.

I had a Cobra before but it had a lot of issues. When I got this one I put it in my car and plugged it in and it's working great. Although it doesn't hold the channel when I turn it off and turn it on It's a pretty good radio.

Buy it, it works GREAT!

Absolutely love this thing. It reaches 8 miles, at least. Bought it because my company owned, factory installed, company maintained one doesn't work properly and I need a cb working in the mines and this hand held is perfect.
