***product does not come with cord so make sure you have one the negative reviews gave me pause but I am a fan of small black&decker products so I just bit the bullet and got this one. This is my first electronic trimmer and I love it so far! Cuts on certain branches are not clean cut like how it would be if I used shears... not sure if I'm doing it right but it gets the job done. I was able to prune my old Azalea bushes that have woody branches. it took me awhile to put on the shield thing, you have to push it in to lock it into place and then screw on the screw. It was confusing because it fit well on the trimmer so I didn't realize I had to push it in further so that it lines up with the machine's grooves. also, a little silly but I did cut my cord a little so you still have to be careful where the cord is relative to the blade...

Very good product for a reasonable price. Used it for the first time, and I was impressed how well it worked. It may not be as convenient as cordless cutter, but it was easy to use with a long extention cord.

This is a mighty little tool. I have been begging my husband for a while to get me a hedge trimmer, we looked everywhere for one I could handle, easy to use and not heavy. The ones at the big box stores where huge and the only one available that was sized properly, battery operated, was $79 but only for the tool alone. I would still needed to get the battery and the charger, so I would have paid about 200 for everything. So I said to him at the store, never mind I look on Amazon. Right there in the parking lot I bought this one. I got it the next day and went to town with it. I loved it! Then my husband took it from me and finished the job. He was amazed at how good it trimmed my bushes. Definitely recommend and if the one I bought breaks, I’ll buy it again.

This replaced the old one I had. It works so well on hedges. Quality great, price great saved almost $100 buying on Amazon rather than hardware store

Excellent trimmer. This is a replacement for a trimmer that we’ve had for nearly 20 years, it worked well and probably would still be working had it not gotten destroyed in a fire. Handy to use, lots of power, will trim anything you can get into the blades.
