USING THIS ITEM FOR MOTORCYCLE SAT-NAV SET-UP
I've used this mount in conjunction with two RAM arm connectors, and an SW-Moto case, so thatI can use a car SAT-NAV on a bike - works fine, and through a very slight modification to an interiortrim to the side of my cockpit screen/housing, have been able to secure this mount to the insidefixing of a mirror ---- I was looking at ways of getting the SAT-NAV to be nearer to eye-line thanmight be achieved through 'normal' bar mounting set-up.So far, very pleased with the results. One point to note: If you're also looking at using this mount for bike use -DO use a thread-lock to secure the bolt with mounts the ball to the plate - As I foundout on my trial run - there is a tendency for vibes to loosen the bolt.(use medium strength threadlock - usually colour coded blue, not the red stuff which requires heat to undo)Using a 3 and a 4 inch 'clam shell' ARM mount, and a double ball between them, has given lots of flexibility in terms of positioning.A bit of trial and error has paid off. MUCH safer than having the screen of a sat-navon a handle-bar, as now a quick glance tells me what I need to know.If I get chance, I'll post a pic.

Good product but needs to be one whole piece.
A good product but not quite as sturdy as the ram mount products as its separate pieces bolted together rather than one whole unit. Check the tightness regularly as every now and then it likes to loosen off slightly and it you have a phone or camera mounted to this it could end up costly.

Well, I just bought another!
Fantastic little gizmo. Exactly what I needed to fix my garmin VIRB camera to my motorbike. Totally rock solid and really well made. Just ordered another one for my phone!

Not Good If You Value Your Satnav
Utter rubbish. Fitted to spare handlebar mirror mount hole using hi-tensile 10mm bolt, threadlocked in. Fitted Garmin Montana satnav to it in proper Garmin mount. In the first few hundred meters of the ride, I looked down at the satnav to see it 'buzzing' - small rapid vibrations caused by the fact that the mount has some flex in it. This essentially 'blurred' the satnav screen and made it useless. While looking for somewhere to pull over to remove the satnav, the vibrations actually shook it out of it's mount and it went bouncing down the road. A credit to the Montana that it still worked afterwards. Put it back on it's old RAM mount (U-bolted to bars) and everything clear and working fine. Don't waste your money (or your satnav).

Great mount
This is ideal for mounting on a motorcycle, the mount allows for satellite navigation or phone to be mounted securely.

Does what it says on the tin so to speak
Very solid piece to attach the phone holder to. The ball is rough as well which makes the holder more secure. If you want to attach anything to the mirror stem, this piece of kit is highly recommended for practicality and solid build quality.
