A breezy read !
Brajesh Kumar is in top form in this chronological account of the key cricket moments since our 2011 WC triumph. With good dose of emotions, fun facts, statistics, crisp analysis, flashbacks, wit and humour, Brajesh unabashedly lays bare the heart of a true and passionate cricket fan (and the biggest Sachin and Dhoni fan 😊), and hits it out of the park in his inimitable brisk/intelligent style !

This is for every cricket Indian fan!
What works is that, the author has given snippets about various historical cricket events starting from March 23, 2007 when India lost to SL and saw itself out from WC. The pain of it, and then fast-forward to 2011, which he called "time for revenge for the Men in Blue", then 2012 (100th 100), 2013, 2014 and so on. . Every event and every match is captured from his point of view, which is the point of view of every Indian cricket fan. The pictures of the matches, the pics of his tickets to these matches, IPL details - the book is a must-read, must-save, and a must-have, and it truly covers a decade of memories we all can relate to.

Very interesting to read
Review : Even though Football is my first love, Cricket is my very close second one. And if you are also a cricket fan, then you will definitely be going to love this book. In the acknowledgement the author expresses that "this book is written by a fan, for a fan", and after reading the book and reminiscent of the old, beautiful as well as bittersweet memories, the book proves that it is. From the title you can guess the book starts from Feb 2011 World Cup and follows closely till 10 Jun 2023. And the author follows all the important events and incidents that happened in this time period. From winning the world cup to Dhoni's retirement, from the women's cricket team gaining success and the popularity of Kohli losing the captaincy. And the author expresses all the emotional rollercoasters he had gone through in this time and still wants to keep going till the very end. The book is very very relatable to me and I absolutely enjoyed reading the book. So I would definitely recommend it to a cricket fan.

A die hard fan's recollection of the major events in Cricket history since 2011
My personal experience with Brajesh is that he is a genuine straightforward guy and that is amply reflected in the book. This is no AAA title with exclusive insights and never before seen pictures. But what this is, is a fan's retelling of the decade of cricket from India's World Cup win in 2011 to run up to the World cup in 2023. It shows the passion that the game can generate from the absolute devotion to SRT and the No 10 jersey, to a growing admiration for Captain cool and King Kohli. And the best part is his recollections are not restricted to the Indian men's team. You'll find mentions of state teams in the Ranji cup and the Women's teams' world cup adventures. So if you're a fan of the sport you will definitely love the walk down memory lane with Brajesh. And if you are not a follower of the sport, like I am, this book will be the perfect crash course for the past 10 years of happenings in the sport.

First of its kind book on cricket
There are only eleven players on the field but a billion dreams and hopes riding on every game. Most of the books are either about a particular player or technicals of the game. This book is an encapsulation of events by a fan and just shows the sheer passion about the game. Enjoy the experience. A must read for every cricket fan

A delight
This book reminded me of a decade old diary. With an imaginary rugged blue cover and paper-cut pictures from vintage news articles , the diary is preserving the smell of nostalgia. Its initial pages, had references of a time when we watched wicket keeper and slip fielders from behind because there was just one camera; we also argued about why ball cannot be white. The game has tremendously evolved since then. From shirt- numbers to damning bazball- it’s barely the same anymore. A fan, however, have been diligently documenting the evolution in the pages of his diary. He collected memories- by delicately wrapping them in fluid prose. His words are kind- to anyone who ever rose up to the task on the field. Unlike sports team fans living in bubbles , his fandom is built on the foundation of a true passion for the game. He belongs to that rare breed of romantic writers who write about love more than the lovers. The book is a delight. Wishing Brajesh a great writing journey.
