Awesome bit of kit!
Awesome bit of kit, installed myself as simple to connect two 22mm copper pipes. Comes with two 22mm flexible hoses but prefer copper. This unit has run without any issues for 7 years. Just booked a service as one of the seals has failed, should be serviced every 2 years, model still made and all parts are available. Would purchased again if needed.

Great product.
It’s my second purchase of this machine, this time for my mum. Works perfectly, can highly recommend. Great value for money and so easy to use.

All the fittings are 22 mm and huge!
I fitted this myself. The video provided by the manufacturer, on you tube, showed that it had 15mm hoses and valves. This have me confidence that this softener would fit easily into the space I had available. When it arrived the hoses were massive and steel braided, it was like wrestling a python!!! All of the valves were huge and cumbersome to fit! I eventually managed it and the softener works well but I don't know why it needs 22mm fittings when it is connecting into a 15mm domestic system! The video should reflect the reality! I was asked to review flavour but we don't drink the softened water, I have retained a hard water supply to the kitchen tap and the outside tap.

Wonderfully soft water.
Great replacement for an old Monarch water softener. Easy to fit, just waiting for free company commisioning. But the water is really soft now!

Great piece of kit
Bought the WS 455 as a replacement for a well used old model located under my sink (a very tight fit). Following discussions with the BWT customer service team mainly around measurements and capacity, I decided on the 455 rather than one of the larger capacity models. Self installed, the 22mm installation kit was difficult to work into the available space, but got there in the end. We live in a very hard water area which tested at 390ppm, four bedroom house, average water consumption. 24 hours after commissioning water tested at 30ppm. This unit works well easily supplies our combination boiler, would recommend it.

Product is good but the servo is really low quality

Easy to fit and works very well However the delivery was problematic as I was lost so I arranged a replacement which was easy to do and it arrived shortly after

Easy to install
Easy to install. If you know what you are doing. Contains some unnecessary fittings if you are replacing a similar unit.
