How To Be A Fashion Designer

This book was better than I expected. It was quite large and had a ton of options/info. My niece loved it.

Thank you Lesley Ware for this amazing book! It's to thoughtful and beautiful and so engaging that my 5-yo (who has become obsessed with fashion while we've been SIP during the pandemic) is just eating it up. I love that this book is educational as well as creative and is representatively up-to-date. We use it as a springboard for learning not just about colors and shapes, but also learning vocabulary, cultures, nature, etc. Great book!

This was perfect for the kid I nanny for, she just started getting into fashion so I was looking for something fun for her.

This book has lots of educational information about design, from colors, patterns and inspirations. It has fun activity ideas (these required additional supplies so most would have to be planned ahead of time). It has minimum actual art and design pages, wish there were a little more of these, but still a neat little book that has a lot of fun info, and ideas. Bought this with another fashion activity book to use both together since there isn't as many "design" pages.

I bought this for my 8 year old granddaughter who is a little fashion designer. She looks bed it and immediately started using the pages to create designs. Lots of learning in it as well.

Bought this for my 10 yr old granddaughter who is wanting to be a fashion designer when she grows up. It has brought her so much explanation and creativity that helps her to understand fashion, patterns and textiles.

My girls loved the book. We purchased the Kindle version. Once they viewed it on their Kindle they begged for the printed version!!! We’ll be buying the hardcover now!

This is a super fun book, and it really gives kids plenty of ideas and room for their own ideas and creativity. If you know a kid who loves creativity and style, this is a great gift.

We’ve had this book for a few years now, and my kid (now 8) returns to it again and again for inspiration.

Bought this for my 8 year old who weaves and is constantly making bags and other things from items around the house. She loves this book and so do I. It is filled with ideas on how to look for design inspiration, and how to put them together. I also love that the silhouettes are shaped like real girls and not Barbie dolls with ridiculous proportions. There is body positive imagery and wording. Definitely recommend and really wish there were more such books.

This is an absolute delight, a fantastic book for a kid to start learning about fashion. Highly recommended
