My Elita-1 and Only
It could be said that Elita-1 was the first female Transformer featured in any Transformers media. She debuted in the eighties TV Show and would not get a figure until 2007 for the live action movie. It was just a repaint of Energon Arcee, but at least it was something. In 2009, she got a Botcon exclusive figure in the form of a repainted Cybertron Thunderblast (and the less said about that mold the better). Finally, we now have a decent figure of this character. It's a little sad that she is yet again borrowing someone else's mold (and that the only original mold this character has is the Revenge of the Fallen version), but at least she rocks it better than he does.Elita-1 is an extensive remold of PotP Starscream and hoo boy is she an improvement over him. The Jet Mode fairs FAR better than ol' Screamer's. It is much more interesting. The wings are slimmer, both front and back. There are holes cut in the wings that make for a more dynamic look and help the aesthetic of the combined mode too. The panels that make up the top of the jet mode also peg together MUCH easier than Starscream's. This is the most important improvement in my opinion. The stickers are still not all that hot. They look sloppily applied again and have all kinds of creases in them. At least the colors are an improvement. Starscream's jet mode was pain to get him into; Elita's is a little tricky, but manageable. That's a huge upgrade.Robot mode is also better. I had said that the chunk of this robot mode was weird for Starscream, but endearing. For Elita, it is also out of character. but I don't care. She is also a pretty slender bot usual, but I like this. Elita-1 is a leader, and giving her more heft gives me a better impression of that. It's not that small bots can't lead (Ratbat lead the Decepticons for a while after all). but in the toys, the bigger one usually feel like the leaders because of the largest size class being called that. There is a lot that's been retooled/remolded on this figure: head, chest, feet, legs, hands, shoulder, etc. It all works marvelously. The shoulder ratchets are looser here and thank Primus for it. I felt Starscream's sides were going to shatter each time I moved it. The one thing I'm not a fan of on this figure is the head. It's very classic Elita-1, but I've never liked how boxy the helmet is on her design. I'd be okay with it though if it hadn't been for the combined head...But first accessories! Instead of the Null Rays, she has two red dinky pistols. I do like the change, I just wish they were a little bigger. The prime armor/feet are the same as Starscream's. However, they are not pink, like in the promo shots, but black. As far as I can tell the pink ones don't exist... kinda. You see, they ARE actually pink, but have been painted black. So if you prefer the look of the pink feet (like I do), just grab some 90%+ alcohol and star rubbing! The combined mode is.... not quite as charming as Starscream's. That crown, man; it's hard to top. However, it is still nice. Named Elita-Infin1te (yes, with a 1 instead of the third i), there is no canonical limb configuration for her as of yet. I have been using the helicopter twins from Victorion for legs, and Moonracer as the left arm, and I'll use Novastar as the right arm when released. The head for Infin1te is still draws from the classic Elita design, but is modernized by making it more angular, and not boxy. I wish this was the normal head. This maybe the only mode Starscream has her beat, but it's still great. If you've been waiting since your childhood to get a great Elita-1, now is the time to get one. She takes a troubled mold and makes it work so much better. If you passed on Starscreamm, this is definately a far superior version to pick up.

it really makes me really happy that they're actually making toys of the female characters ...
As a former little boy that grew up with transformers, and Dad to a pair of girls, it really makes me really happy that they're actually making toys of the female characters now. Puzzle toys are great for any kid to help them learn problem solving skills, and spatial awareness.Basically not only are these fun for a kid to play with, they help them learn how things work. And the girls are very happy that they've got a female character that isn't a girlfriend, mom, or nurse. Elita-1 is a warrior, and they love her for it.As for the toy, she's a retool of Starscream, with the same features and transformation. Simple enough for a kid to play with, and posable enough for display.

POTP Elita-1, very solid figure
Love this design for Elita-1. Both the figure and the jet mode are very nice looking, but I consider the combiner mode gimmicky and unattractive. Individually she is just what I wanted- nice quality and I had no issues regarding the stickers. Not the most pose-able but very good for the price.

It's an ok Elita-1
This may be the weakest Voyager class in the whole line. It's an ok Elita-1, and the robot mode looks good, but it really suffers from using the terrible Starscream mold, and being forced to be a combiner torso. It's the only official, mass retail, toy she's ever gotten, so it gets a bonus star for that. It's great to finally be getting figures to represent the female Autobots from the G1 show. I'm a huge fan of the rarer/more obscure Transformers from G1 getting toys, so I'm glad I got this figure, I just wish they'd used a better mold as the base.

Could've been 4 stars, maybe even 5...
Color is nice, head sculpt is great, but poor sticker application and some paint problems make me give what would otherwise be a solid 4 star figure only 3. The first photo has the main vehicle portion swiveled like the instructions indicate, which I'm not a fan of, so I left it unswiveled in the rest of the bot photos, I think this also helps her balance when being posed. The vehicle doesn't look bad, but as you can see some of the stickers are curling straight out of the box, one of the Autobot logos is crooked, and there is what looks like scratching on her cockpit. All in all she's a nice figure, and definitely worth picking up since there hasn't been a real Elita-1 figure that I can remember. Also, Amazon is only letting me attach one photo to my review in their app and mobile site, forcing me to email the photos to myself, and then write the review on an actual computer, which is extremely irritating and inconvenient.

great toy
The toy is almost perfect. Surprised it came in original unopened packaging seeing as how she is not "brand new". My son loves it. Only issue is the peg on the back isn't long enough to hold the wings in place. Whatever though. He is happy. Only need greenlight now to finish the combiner mode.

Is a treasure piece
I like it. I am into transformers and she is one of the few female transformers. She has to be part of my collection
