Mine came wired wrong
The media could not be loaded. Currently working on a full restoration of a 2002 Yamaha R1 and ordered this tail light blinker combo. Looked like an awesome idea to add a little more indication so people know my intentions more readily. Since it fits in the OEM tail light slot it's pretty much the perfect replacement thats also cheaper than OEM. Got it in, installed it, plugged everything in (blinkers are not oem connectors so you have to hack stuff together) and it didn't even turn on. Out comes the multimeter to check continuity. Everything on the bike was good so I checked the light. Wires for the light were all wrong. Black is supposed to be common wire but red was in its place. The other two were also switched for running light and brake light. So I had to chop all of them and splice them back together where they were supposed to be because I'm not going to send this one back and wait longer to get this bike done. After doing all the necessary fandangling, the light works and is just as bright as I hoped! And the fit is very good as well. I just wish it came with the darn screws!!! Nothing I order seems to come with hardware for this bike. Oh well.Overall pretty happy with my purchase. Let's see if it lasts!

Will need wire diagram and a little know how
I ordered this for a 2003 r1 1000cc. Pretty much building from the ground up and run into problems like this on almost everything I buy... yes it's as old as my H.S. diploma but... so the plug and play is not plug n play I will have to slice into my old lights plug easy enough and like I said you will need to pull a wire diagram from the internet. Product it's self is the same demetions as the original looks about the same material too... (photo) one on the left is the part I pulled off and on the right is the one ordered from Amazon going to 9 volt batter before I splice anything seen some reviews say it never even worked will update after test and/or install

It fits.. but you need to re-pin them
I got the product today and installed it. This is a simple DIY so if you are able to install this, you should be able to pull the pins out and re-wire them. I had to rewire mine as two wires were switched, Negative/ground and the city light were reversed so I popped the pins out and re-pinned them to the correct spot. I can't give this a 5 star because it doesn't seem like it would last long as the wire backing seems like it would short if I ever ride in the rain or leave my bike out. I have a 2002 Yamaha R1.

Buy elsewhere with higher quality standards.
Update: Here's how this unit should be wired to a 2002-2003 Yamaha R1:Bike — Tail LightUnder Seat:Blue/Red — WhiteYellow — RedBlack — BlackNear Tail on Left Side:Brown — YellowGreen — BlueThis integrated tail light will certainly work for me but the installation could've been made MUCH easier with some attention to detail at the factory.Wires are in the wrong order on the plug. Installed on my 2003 tonight but it's not working. I wouldn't think it'd be difficult to get this right at the factory before shipping them out. There's a review here from 3 years ago stating the same problem. Unacceptable.

Lights are just as bright as stock unit
This actually fits my Yamaha WR250R (all years) and works great as a replacement for my stock turn signals which would have ripped off eventually. The smoke look is cool in my book but the lights still seem bright enough to get the attention of the vehicles behind me. The picture unfortunately only shows with my bike covered in mud.

Works amazing for my needs
This worked great for me...inexpensive and integrated. I made my own mount under my tail so I dont keep breaking when I loop. Would buy again if I need to. Lights are bright and easy to install.
