Informative and interesting
I'm not in HR nor management but did find lots of valuable information in this book on talent. These principles I've used and continue to use to help my two teenage sons to discover and develops their own talents.

‘It ain’t what you don’t know that gets you into trouble. It’s what you know for sure that just ain’t so.’
Very well written and researched, a must read for anyone involved in the burgeoning talent finding & developing industry. Especially for HR practitioners who are generally lukewarm about academic research on their subject, emulating other professionals – and laypeople in general – in thinking that their intuition and experience are enough to make insightful and accurate observations about people. There is a science to understanding and predicting human behavior, and intuitive judgements about psychology are as subjective, and wrong, as intuitive judgements about quantum physics and organic chemistry. So let's use this science and its embodiment in tools like knack.it.

A Good Consolidation...but, in other words
The consolidation of some existing research is good, as are the suggestions about actions to take. The writing is difficult. Almost every section has a sentence that starts with, "In other words." A good editor could have really helped make this more concise and make it flow better.

Great read
Really enjoyed the critical and scientifically grounded perspective provided by Tomas. Plenty of talent misconceptions in the book are well explored, picked apart and exposed for what they really are.

Hard Hitting must read for every HR professional
This is probably the best book on talent I've read.Actual real statistics and evidence to inform talent decisions are a must in the modern self inflated environment we live in.

Intuition is not Talent Management
Intuition is not enough to make accurate observations about talent. This book is a guide on how to ignore ill-founded assumptions when hiring employees and, instead, apply evidence-based principals to measure, predict and manage talent. Brilliant.
