Solidly built, I already have 1” (not the Olympic style weights) I wish I had some smaller than 2-1/2lb ones but since there are a number of holes at the end to put the weights, I got it to balance out with about 27-½ pounds on the third hole. Even though this is a “small” camera jib it isn’t that small at all. Very tight with an 8 foot ceiling, but since I will mostly be using it in a university lab with high ceilings to create educational videos it should work perfect. I would recommend getting products from these guys, expect to spend some time getting it to work right, figuring out the counter weights etc. and if you have any issues contact support they were very responsive to make sure I am happy. So this is a little unfair as upon close reading it says “for” not “with” tripod… So my fault, I was looking at so many different products before settling on this one because the price was so good. So since I don’t have the tripod I haven’t tested yet but I can say the packaging is good, everything wrapped up safe which is good as the box was fairly ripped up. There is no instructions, just a slip of paper that says go to the website, doesn’t even state what product you have, so when I went there I went to the instructions for the kit that includes the tripod, so I was convinced that I was missing the tripod until I went back to desertcart to write this review. The arm seems pretty solid, I had to ream the hole out with a drill to get the bolt in that connects the two arm halves. I think I will keep it and find a tripod that works with it.
