I tried the TRUBAR vegan protein bar in strawberry cake flavor and I really liked it. It has a smooth texture, it's not dry or gritty like some other vegan bars, and the flavor is sweet but pleasant, quite reminiscent of a strawberry cupcake. I like that it has 12g of protein, a good amount of fiber, and that it doesn't contain gluten, dairy, soy, or sugar alcohols, so it didn't upset my stomach. It's an excellent option for when I want something convenient, delicious, and healthier as a snack or after a workout.

I have had several of the TruBars. I really like the ingredients (great fiber!), the flavor of several of the bars and the texture. I'm a "chewy" person. I really loathe the chalky, pasty, crumbly protein bars and am glad I finally found one that isn't that way. **FAVORITES** Key Lime: Someone said that it tasted to them like a marshmallow and a key lime pie had a baby. I feel that's accurate. It's got a good lime taste, it's great for curing the sweet tooth, and doesn't have any chalky aftertaste. It's one of my favorites when I'm looking for a citrus-y/sweet treat. Saltylicious Almond Love: This one is also amazing! It doesn't taste exactly like almonds and chocolate, but more like a toffee-ish flavor. It's less sweet than the Key Lime, so on the days that I want something chocolate, this is one I turn to. The texture and the no chalk aftertaste is something I really love about these bars! **These were tasty and I would get them if my favorites weren't available** Daydreaming about Donuts: This one was decent. It did have a slight donut flavor, but I don't think I would seek it out if I had other flavor options. Oh oh Cookie Dough: This one was also pretty good. It did taste like cookie dough, so if that's what you are going for, I don't think you will be disappointed. It has the same great texture of the other TruBars. **I didn't like these at all and couldn't finish them after the first or 2nd bite** Strawberry Shorty Got Cake: I didn't get any of those words from the first bite I took and I threw the rest of the bar away. It didn't have a strong strawberry taste. Birthday Cake: No - just, No.

This protein bar has a nice strawberry flavor and doesn’t taste overly artificial. It’s a great option when I want something sweet but still filling. I appreciate that it’s vegan and gluten-free. Some bars are a bit on the sweet side, but overall it’s a convenient and satisfying snack, especially on the go.

The product packaging is so cute in pink, however the taste was very different than what I expected! I’m vegan and I love plant protein, I couldn’t finish it all because I got full fast, the quality is very sweet and I feel like I got an energy boost ! The calories are not too shabby and the protein count is 12G !! Thank you for this free product!

Wasn’t sure what to expect but really enjoyed these. Good protein carb ratio for a diabetic and tasty enough to feel like your cheating.

I love the Strawberry Shortcake ones, but I'm not in love with any of the other flavors I've tried so I love that I can buy a whole box of this one. It's sort of a strange pasty texture but I find the flavor really good and easy to get down vs some other protein bars. Doesn't have a ton of protein in it but that's okay.

I've been addicted to Trubars since I first came across them a few years ago, and with citrus being one of my absolute favourite flavours in general, I thought that their new key lime flavour would be utter perfection. Not only was it not even remotely as good as any of their other flavours, it was terrible. For the most part, the bars themselves are all the same, with the difference showing up in the coating by way of flavouring extracts. The key lime smelled very much like cleaning products and tasted extremely artificial, with a perfumed aftertaste that almost made me feel like I was walking by Bath and Body Works. Let's be real. As far as protein bars go, the nutrition profile of Trubars isn't astounding. The protein is relatively low, with higher calories and sugar, comparatively. The macros aren't amazing. I buy them because they are vegan and (usually) an incredibly delicious, healthier alternative to a chocolate bar or other sweet snack. All other flavours available in Canada I'd rate between 4.5-5/5. The key lime would get a 0/5. I hope the recipe gets reworked with some real key lime zest, and they do away with the scented candle flavouring.

Tasty, I really like the lemon. Strawberry tastes weird to me.

They are my favorite protein bar. Unfortunately I’ve had to throw out about half of the bars in the box, as they are inedible. I’m not sure what the issue is, however there’s no way to return the item.
