Making Art: Form and Meaning

This book along with other Berret's book titled 'Why is that Art?' is a comprehensive introduction to art and design student. Simply to clarifying the mind for studying art/design by categorizing the elements of art making and meaning into : Subject Matter (content), Form, Context and Medium. It would be fruitful for student alike who willing to learn about writing his own artist statement on a more scholarly-based. =)

I'm not too far in it, it's for one of my classes, but it's a lot more interesting than the other book we have that that class. It has the vocab in the beginning of each chapter, with definitions, but then it goes into more detail about them giving examples and interesting facts. I'm not big on reading in general, especially text books, unless it's something I can really get into. And it's a good read so far.

Pretty worn out, but I got what I paid for.

This book was great for my art class. It was simple and easy to read. Recommended for those who have a lot to learn about art.

I expected it to be used but the copy I got was pretty beat up. The spine is tearing off so I will probably put some tape along the spine to keep it on. Other than that the pages look fine.
