SysAdmin Approved! Works great on Juniper EX3300
Works well with Juniper EX3300 POE+ 48 port switches. No configuration needed. I have an outdoor underground Cat5e (Not CCA) line that is a little over 190ft from the house to the shop where the 2nd switch is and it is rock solid at 10Gbps. Cant beat the cost for speed when compared to WiFi. Here is a ping sample to one of my servers in the shop from my desktop in the house. 64 bytes from (removed for security): icmp_seq=73 ttl=64 time=0.189 ms 64 bytes from (removed for security): icmp_seq=74 ttl=64 time=0.195 ms 64 bytes from (removed for security): icmp_seq=75 ttl=64 time=0.186 ms --- (removed for security) ping statistics --- 75 packets transmitted, 75 received, 0% packet loss, time 75786ms rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 0.121/0.206/0.472/0.036 ms

Works on Dream Machine SE
Using with a Ubiquiti Dream Machine Pro SE. configured port 10 for LAN instead of WAN. Came up with a EEPROM Error at first but it went away after 24 hours. Currently sitting at temperature of 67c. Connected at 10Gbps over existing CAT6, cable is about 80’ long maybe a lil shorter.

Works as expected
Worked as it should. Replaced a pair of these which I do not know what happened But I’m back and functional. Maybe a power spike? But these worked and I’m going again!

Great service
First the specifics: I have this transceiver in the WAN port of my UDM PRO (set to Auto Negotiate) and connected to a 2.5Gb modem. The UDM side is seeing this as a 10Gb connection and the transceiver is correctly transforming the connection to 2.5Gb for the modem. Qualities: As with most if not all SFP+ to RJ45 transceivers, this unit gets hot. More importantly, it comes with a 3 year warranty which shows the manufacturer's trust in the product. Another important consideration is power draw as there is a wide disparity between brands. ipolex seems to be in the middle here although I didn't test this for myself. Experience: I can see from a speed test that I am getting nearly the entire 1.2Gb bandwidth promised by my ISP. Due to my configuration, I did not test at faster speeds. I got a little over a year with no problems and then started to have daily connectivity issues. After a few months of that, the transceiver died. It was difficult to figure out how to get warranty service since the manufacturer, like most, requires that I go through the retailer (Amazon) and Amazon doesn't make it easy to find the link. However, once I got to the correct screen and was now dealing directly with ipolex, the process went quickly and they replaced the faulty transceiver. Start to finish, I had the replacement in my hands in 4 days. Quality: One failure is not an indication of quality as I have had failures with every brand. I use that much equipment. Best I can say here is, let's see how long the replacement lasts.

Works well, reasonable cost.
This SFP+ module works exactly as advertized. My particular application is interfacing a 2.5gb ethernet machine to a 10gb ethernet switch. It does get significantly hotter that optical sfp+ modules even at idle, but a quiet 80mm fan blowing across the face of the switch appears to keep temps in control.

Works great on a Unifi switch
I used these as a lower cost alternative to the Unifi product. Easy to install, same size and quality, but a great value. Perfectly compatible with our Unifi switches.

Working with CAT 6 (< 30m)
I have about 75ft to 80ft of CAT6 (including the patch cables) I routed through the wall a few years ago and I'm able to maintain a stable 10g connection with low RETR on iperf3 between these transceivers. They get very hot, too hot to touch for more than 1 sec, but they function well. They do cool down very quickly (few minutes to about room temp) once removed or powered off. I bought about 10 in total and I would buy more if needed.

Works with Cisco 3650-48FQM
Using two of these on a Cisco 3650-48FQM running IOS XE 16.12.14 with no issues. The opposite ends connect to a Synology DS1825+ 2.5Gbps Ethernet ports.
