Worth it!
Warm, very soft, and thick. Just tall enough to get over the calves but are a bit tight, but that could just be me.

Perfect for my 14 size foot
These were fantastic socks that I wore when we received a record 9 in of snow right off the Florida panhandle. So glad I had them.

Wrong socks sent, finally got right ones
The socks that arrived were a previously used pair of socks, they were not an x-large pair, they were much smaller in an opened package no longer attached to the manufacturer's packaging. They looked worn and ratty, the color and pattern were different from pictured and the wool content seemed much lower than on the packing, but I have no idea since these were worn used socksEdit - took a chance, reordered and the correct socks showed up this time, these are exactly what I was looking for with 83% wool, these are super soft and thick and will be extremely warm - only giving 4 stars because of my first experience

Works Well With Alternate Purposes!
Not exactly as described (see image). Aside from fabric type discrepancies:It's comfortable, especially stretched over some smaller socks (layering to keep warm). They're a bit too aerated to be on their own for wool socks. Aerated refers to cold air flowing through, not the inner cushion of fluff (see in photos). Really nice feature for layering if you size up a few! Typically, when you buy a wool sock, you need them for the purpose of keeping warm. The one issue I ran into was that it pills up very easily. Not as durable. I wore them to bed (my second use, only washed once), and in the morning the outer layer had pilled pretty badly. That seems to be regular for most wool socks nowadays, but there are definitely better woven varieties for a higher price-point. This was fair for the price paid at the time.Definitely would not get them to look pretty but is a cheap option to add layers to your feet and legs!
