Not worth the time
I don't know what I expected for the price, but only one of the locks came with the default password set to 0-0-0-0 so I can only use one. The second one feels out of shape and resists being put into the lock setting mode. I only need the one for the gym and was hoping to keep one as back-up but not sure it is worth the time sending them back.Since the locks don't have a notch on the shackle, I probably would trust these to be more than a minor strike from protecting valuables so definitely wouldn't use it anywhere besides my gym locker.

Good pair of deterrent locks but NO instructions.
A pair of reasonably strong, good combination locks. They have a good weight to them, the hasp and number wheels all operate easily. I am sorry I've had to deduct another star, I wanted to give these locks 4 stars. As it seems to be a regular disappointment, I am yet again having to say in my review, there are no instructions that come with these locks as to how to change the combination number. The advert says " setting your personalized combination is a breeze, with simple instructions provided." There are no instructions at all. The locks come in a plain brown cardboard box with nothing printed on it and no information leaflet inside. Ok it didn't take long to figure it out. They arrive with the the default setting of 0000 with 1 dial moved on by 1 number, You set that number to 0 and the lock opens. You then turn the hasp to a right angle and you can see there is a locator on the shaft of the hasp and that needs to line up with a cut-out on the top of the lock. Now while keeping the hasp depressed set the number you want and release the hasp, the number you chose is now the combination to open the lock. To lock the lock depress the hasp in to the lock body and change the number on display and the lock will be locked. A nice pair of deterrent locks that will be very useful for me.
