It your looking to slam your old rust bucket across railroad tracks/ speed bumps ect. for cheap look no further the rides what you'd expect out of cheaper coilovers and they fit well on a 97 Honda civic and they go lower than is realistic safe for your bumpers lol

These ride amazing and you have a wide range of adjustments with these. Don't listen to the people that think they are bouncy. They have no clue what its like to ride on something way stiffer. The ride quality on these are way better the my old OBX coils. Super happy with my purchase. These struts do not have a welded bolt on the rear lower mount like stock struts. That is my only complaint, I had to use my own bolt for the lower rear strut mount bolt and use the spacers included but it was no big deal because I just used the bolts off of my rear top hat :-) If you are thinking about buying these for a 1996-2000 civic go for it you wont be disappointed! Seller, if you are reading this you guys should add the lower rear bolt to the kit.

The suspension works, and isn't as bouncy as I thought it would be based on the reviews.However...... I had to get washers to space the bolt out because the u shaped bottom rear shock pieces were far too wide. I ended up putting 3 10mm washers on both sides of the bolt.The kit comes with 2 thick washers and those were enough for one rear shock. NOT BOTH.Another downside is my stock shocks had a nut welded to the stock shock. So while I was getting washers I had to get some new nuts to get them bolted together.Specs:98 civic dxfrom the top of the rubber to the first big band is 8.5 inches and from the bottom ring to the little middle ring is a little over an inch.It sits way too low for my liking but I don't feel there is enough room to raise them anymore.

These are some very no frills coilovers. i do like how the adjustment is all done without the spring being involved (even though you can compress it too.) However, i've seen some bad reviews on doing these on Civics, particularly 89-2001s claiming the bolts were welded into the rear on the factory, they aren't. The NUT on the backside is. so what you do is remove the bolt itself. Once you have the factory strut out you take an impact and break the welded nut off of it, just an ugga dugga or so will do it. Take that nut and reinstall your new lowie bois happily ever after.

I was very very impressed with the entire kit ease of install and ease of adjustment. Not bouncy.. only complaint about the kit not the product is you should include the rear lower control arm bolts lock washers and nuts. Even having to cut the rear lower bolts on my car I did it in under 2 hours with the tires still on.
