The Real Deal
Excellent! This mask fit my Woodcraft perfectly. It’s high quality, real leather; and after a first failed attempt, I realized it’s best to lace it up before setting the position. I slightly tightened it down, then rigorously slid it into place, then tightened down some more. I got it so tight on the handle now that I took it backpacking without even tying the ends and it won’t move. It looks and feels fantastic on the Woodcraft 24”. It’s a family owned company and they do great work from what I’ve seen. Buy it.

Beautiful & High Quality
This is a gorgeous piece of craftsmanship. Got the dark brown collar for my 24" Council Axe, and it fits like a glove. Packaging was so professional and well done, leather twice-oiled prior to shipping, absolutely beautiful. No problems at all, no stiffness or tightness in the leather, just perfect. Highly recommended product, highly recommend seller Review Outdoor Gear. They shipped it within an hour of my placing the order, which I've never had shipping that fast. Excellent all around.

Rawhide lace broke during first pull
The guard itself is fine, and fits the Council axe closely. The rawhide lace used to tighten the guard broke within the first few seconds of tightening. As a result, I had to use 550 cord to tighten the guard and in the long run is a better option anyway.

Very pleased. One can tell it is in fact handmade. The fit is perfect. I don't think I could ask for better.
