Great reading, amazing financial advice, changed my life. I am Dave Ramsay addicted.

This book is a game-changer! Even translates well in the UK (if you bear in mind some of the jargon is just.. well.. American)! I liked this book because the steps mentioned in this book are SO simple (but are very hard to do given the 'sophisticated finance and marketing' we are fed as a culture). However, if you have one of those "I've HAD IT!" moments, the principles in this book that Dave talks about (and has for 20+ years) will completely open your eyes, and carrying them out will completely transform yours and your family's lives into the next generation. You will realise how you've been hood-winked and just how many literally hundreds of thousands of other people (yes ok mainly Americans, but also Brits, Australians, Kiwis, other Europeans, Mexicans, Japanese, etc. etc. - the numbers can be verified from research info from the book) following these principles have legally removed all debt and completely transformed their lives. It is hard work, but So worth it. I first read this book in 2007 after I'd heard Dave on UK's Premier radio. (Dave does talk about his Christian principles in the book, but this 'Makeover' book is just as valid and readable even if you are not a Biblical believer.) Having had debt for 34 years, thanks to this book we've now paid everything back in 7 years since 2007 (including a mortgage) and now do not owe a penny to anyone. Other similar books I have read are not nearly so engaging and can seem soooo dry. If I could give 10 Stars, I would.

I really enjoyed it , it emphasises the most important things for financial freedom! I would recommend this book to anyone.

Fantastic book that's has helped my family get rid of 50% of our debt on 6 months, we have 6 more months to go and will be totally debt free forever.The book is easy to follow and if you in the UK, then as long as you keep in mind that when you see a $ you make it become a £.Dave Ramsey will talk about things like Roth IRAs and other USA money accounts, but a simple Internet search you can find the UK equivalent.This is a book that I feel everyone needs in there life's.We have found that people will listen to you talk about the book, but then say they are just as happy to continue with there "Normal" financial life's and pay there debts as they want a life.However once they see you doing the plan, see that it really works and you still have a life they are quick to ask to borrow the book. We don't lend our book as we have found its easier to give the book. We are on our third book because of this and I'm sure we will need more again soon.

I've listened to some of his podcasts online and always agree with what he says. Very informative and even though I don't have these problem myself it's interesting to know the issues other people run into.

Amazing Man, Amazing Concept, Amazing Book. I came across Dave Ramsey a few months ago and have adopted his strategy 100%. I live in the UK so some concepts I have to read between the lines or think of UK equivalents but the underlying core concepts of money management and wealth building are applicable whether you live in the US or the UK. Since stumbling across the baby steps on YouTube I am now debt free and nearly have a fully funded emergency fund! For the first time in years I am winning. The man and the strategy changed my life. Don't get me wrong ... it's no magic pill. You have to work and hustle, push and grind but it can be done if you want to be debt free ... get fired up and change your family tree :-). Been following Dave Ramsey on Tiktok and have learned a lot from him. Purchased his book and it did not disappoint.
