I love this icecream maker, my 6 year olds and I used it weekly!! Keep the main bowl in the freezer for best results, I always keep it there so it's always ready to use!

One year and 100+ batches - Still 5 stars!
My husband loves the ice cream this machine produces, and I'm getting very creative after a year's practice. The machine is very easy to use, very easy to clean, and does a great job. My only complaint is that the bowl isn't quite big enough, but I plan to get a larger model when this one finally wears out. I don't expect that to happen any time soon, however. It has stood up to twice-weekly use from the start with no problem at all. I just rinse out the bowl and let it drain in the rack for a few minutes, then dry the outside ONLY with paper towels, then pop it back in the freezer. I keep it on the top shelf where the cold air comes out. Make sure to keep it PERFECTLY level on the shelf to avoid wobbly turning when it's in the machine.I have a four cup measuring cup that I use as a mixing bowl, and it works perfectly. Pour in cold whole milk (2 cups), heavy cream (1-1/2 cups or a bit more depending on the additions planned), 2/3 cups sugar, a pinch of salt, and whatever flavor you want. I add either of the following: 1 cup pureed frozen raspberries OR strawberries or cherries, plus the occasional 1/4 cup mini semisweet chocolate chips. I also make an amazing cinnamon ice cream by substituting 2 heaping teaspoons cinnamon (yes, I like cinnamon), and a half cup toasted chopped walnuts for the fruit. Same other proportions. Freeze for about twenty minutes and pack in freezer containers for two hours or so. Perfect. If the contents start to run over a bit , just dip out about a half cup into the freezer container and let it keep working for a few more minutes. Do NOT turn off the machine until you're finished. The paddle will freeze solid and stop the machine. You'll burn up the motor if you try to stop and restart. Also, please note that the paddle itself DOES NOT TURN! When I turned the machine on for the first time, I thought it was broken because the bowl turned but not the paddle. That's the way it works. That's how I found out that turning off the machine and trying to turn it back on is a bad idea. :-)
