MORTAL KOMBAT LEGACY 14 GAMES Wifi ENABLED ARCADE MACHINE

I've got a few Arcade1Up cabinets and this is easily my second fave - after Star Wars. Easy to build and it's better quality than the older ones. All games play really well and you can play online too... Only thing I will say is that the responsiveness sometimes of the sticks isn't maybe as sharp as it can be. But I mostly play after a few drinks - so... it doesn't bother me!

I bought this for Defender and that’s it, the fact it has Gauntlet and Paperboy also is a bonus, I’m not a fan of Mortal Kombat but they play fine if you’re a fan of them too. Easy to assemble. Gaming heaven.

A trickier build than my others for some reason but all’s well that ends well. Good fun games. No issues with monitor whatsoever. Pity that the two blokes that delivered it were downright rude..

It's a do it yourself kit comprised of MDF boards with Mortal Kombat graphics printed on them, motherboard, Joystick and screen It's very expensive for what it is as you are paying for the Name, not complaining as it's officially Licensed emulation but unfortunately no Johnny cage artwork on the side of the cabinet due to licensing Issues An easy fix for this however is to import the decal from the USA with the Jonny cage Artwork and apply to the cabinet and boom you have a nice replica arcade Cabinet and the icing on the cake.... You can play online with other owners of the MK cabinet TOTALLY FREE or watch other matches live as a spectator The really crap thing about this product besides the Price is it only comes with a 90 day warranty from the manufacturer not a year and the screen and arcade buttons and stick are not of the highest quality but are still totally usable and serviceable which results for a fun experience over all It's a must have item for any Mortal Kombat fan even though it's way over priced for what your getting.. wait for a sale and you can't go wrong and you will have a blast and it would make a nice addition to any man cave As Scorpion would say GET OVER HERE! And it would totally Finish him! Or in the case of the new perspective buyer their Wallet 😂

The new "Midway" form factor of Arcade1Up cabinets is easily the best cabinet shape Tastemakers has ever done. And Mortal Kombat may be my favorite arcade series of all time. HOWEVER... they bungled this release by putting a very low quality TN monitor with an incorrect 5:4 aspect ratio in the cabinet. This causes several problems, including a washed-out screen, a low-quality image overall, and a "stretched" feeling from the picture. It ALSO means that the bezel around the monitor had to be shortened on the bottom to accomodate the extra-tall screen, which leaves just a half-inch or so between the screen and the control panel (and about 2" above the screen, which isn't needed). So, the monitor sits too "low" in the cabinet, relative to the original design. A monitor with the original aspect ration (4:3) would have fixed that. Fortunately, aside from the position and stretched characters, the OTHER monitor issues can be fixed by swapping in a Dell E1715S monitor (about $90 on eBay). This Dell monitor is plug-and-play, in a sense... watch 19KFox's video to see how it's done. Once in place, the Dell monitor actually has a BETTER contrast ratio than the IPS monitors from BOE that Arcade1Up usually uses, and a faster response rate, too! This made my MK30th cabinet look SOOOO much better... in fact, I'd say the screen looks as good or better now than any other Arcade1Up cabinet in my collection. Aside from that, the MK30th cabinet has a fantastic design overall, good sound, improved controls (buttons still suck, though), decent audio, and a nice faux coin door. Unfortunately, the games list is "meh" outside of the Mortal Kombat titles, and the switch they use for on/off is a "momentary" type, which means you can't power it up with a surge strip or wall switch, annoyingly (they fixed this with the newer Yoga Flame-style Capcom Legacy cabinets in the same form factor, ironically enough). All of that said, there's some discussion in the community about input lag. I'll be honest, I don't play online, so perhaps that's where the problems are happening. Local play, however, seems to be fine... and I've been playing Mortal Kombat (especially UMK3) for years. Overall, this was my favorite cabinet of 2022, and one of my favorites period. However, the Yoga Flame cabinet that was released alongside this--although not original art nor an original Capcom cabinet shape--shipped with a notably better screen, better screen position, non-stretched images, and a better game selection. Oh, and it had a PROPER on/off switch, too! So, Yoga Flame gets the nod for my favorite of 2022, and possibly the best they've ever produced. Mortal Kombat 30th is a great cabinet. Hopefully Arcade1Up will apply some lessons learned moving forward. But overall, it's not worth full retail due to the monitor issue. But if it comes down in price, and you're not afraid of doing the swap, it's a really solid cabinet to add to your collection!
