Intuitive and straight forward
This book is great help, unfortunately it doesn't have a lot of indepth examples for the subject, but it will teach the basics and intermediate methods.

Better Than Most But Could Improve More
As a civil engineering student I was required to purchase this book and I wasn't about to pay the $300 at my university's bookstore so I settled for the kindle version instead costing $153 at the time. As an ebook it was easy enough to work with from a computer or iPad and I will most certainly reference it in future subjects. The hardcover version which most students splurged on was of a surprising smaller size then expected given the depth of the subject, yet the quality makes up for the quantity mostly I guess. It is set up incredibly well with beautiful illustrations that show engineering as the art form it truly is and the examples are extraordinarily useful; however, one or two additional problems in each chapter could have helped silidify some of the later topics. Unfortunately like with any advanced math or engineering textbook the occasional error was found in the book's solutions which was rather concerning. Hopefully they take greater care with the next edition to prevent these mistakes because engineers need to know how to properly design a bridge or any structure without error.

Un gran libro de texto
Además de la explicación teórica, cada tema trae ejemplos. Pero es que además de los ejemplos, trae un puñado de "fundamental problems" que vienen resueltos de forma explicada al final del libro. Luego ya vienen los problemas, todos ellos con solución al final del libro (sin explicación) y lo más sorprendente: las soluciones siempre son correctas!! Trae material de sobra. Bastantes temas tienen más de 50 problemas, así que no te vas a quedar con las ganas de hacer otro problema.

A must-have for any civil/structural engineering student
This textbook saved my semester! I ordered it on my own initiative for the structural analysis course in my civil engineering program in response to frustration with the materials used and lack of clarity from the instructor. Hibbeler develops the material clearly in plain language, provides clear (and ILLUSTRATED) examples and solutions following a well-structured and consistent procedure, and covers a wide range of topics (including a detailed section on trusses). Vastly superior to those locally produced coursepacks and lecture notes. A must-have for any civil/structural engineering student. In addition, I was very pleased with the prompt delivery. 100% recommended.
