This disc is so amazing and is one I truly and highly recommend for those of whom remember Sammi Smith. I am young and only remember Sammi as she was one of my first ever owned records at age 6. Her voice and songs flood my mind as I play the disc and sing along. For those whom do not know her music, this is the one to buy. It has one of her #1 hits called Help Me Make It Through The Night and others. She is a true Country singer with her story enclosed with this disc of how she got started. Buy this and you will not be disappointed.

back In the early 70's, there were feemail country artists including Tammy Wynette, Lynn And Liz Anderson, Donna Fargo, Diana Trask (from Australia) and now, this diva, who had a top 10 hit with the Kris Kristoferson number "Help Me Make It Through the Night". it has been covered by artists and was also recorded by Kris and Kris's version is the better of the lot. also represented on this Tammy Wynette sound- alike CD include "the Toast of 45", "For the Kids", and my personal fave "He's Everywhere". it's a song about having trouble getting over someone you've lost. when my Amazon account wouldn't display my orders, if Amazon were my lover, I would have been able to relate to this song. this CD also includes nice caovers of "My Window Faces the South" and "The Letter", a 1960's hit by the Box Tops. if you have any CD's by the feemail stars I mentioned, this CD would go nicely with those artist's CD's. the sound quality is okay. the volume is a little bit too quiet for my liking. I've heard that lowder isn't always better, but I think this CD needs a tiny volume adjustment. same goes for some of the Legendary Masters Series and a CD by Don Fardon "Indian Reservation: the Best of Don Fardon".

“Help Me Make It Through The Night “Should Say it all. Too many Great songs by a Great artist. My Favorite Female Country singer. A few songs missing to make this complete set but still worth the purchase.

Very good. Enjoyed the music and all her songs. Sammi Smith is an excellent singer. My favorite is "Today I started Loving you again..."

I was lookingfor the CD with the song " When Michael Call "on it. I coulden't fiind one . The music was alright, but not what I was looking for. I would reccomed this CD.

The Best of Sammi Smith CD was received in excellent condition! I loved the songs on the CD, and it is one that I'll always treasure. This is an update on how I REALLY enjoy this CD: I've played this cd OVER and OVER again, and I must tell you, it just sounds better and better each time I play it!!!!!!!! I would very much recommend this cd for all those who LOVED Sammi Smith!!!!

This is something that I looked for many times, but never found a copy of it until a friend in New Jersey sent me a copy , but by mistake sent the jacket and forgot the cd. He told me where he got it from so I ordered it through Amazon.com and now have the new cover and cd. The memories are of my true love of my partner and this is the song we called ours when we met 40 years ago and we are still together today. What a feeling to dance to that song today.

I have been a longtime fan of Sammi Smith. She was one of the best Country singers around. This album is just great. She had a special style with songs like "Loving Arms" and " Help Me Make it Through the Night"
