Worth every cent
My birds love this. What works best for them....heat it the microwave for about 45 seconds. This allows you to break it into smaller pieces. I do not have a suet feeder so by having smaller pieces over a larger area, more birds can feed on it. Otherwise, I find Blue Jays perched on top of the large piece and not allowing other smaller birds to feed.

Great Item - Attracts a Variety of Birds
I was very surprised at the variety of birds this attracts. Its early April here in the Northeast and the birds in this area definitely love it. Woodpeckers - Downy, Red Bellied and Hairy - visit it multiple times during the day. Northern Mockingbirds and Cardinals as well. (see the attached pictures). Have also seen Song Sparrows, Chickadees, Dark-eyed Juncos and Carolina Wrens visit the feeder. Good price for a product our feathered friends enjoy. The only downside is it is a little oily-waxy to handle. Wear disposable rubber gloves when you handle the suet cakes.

Sturdy Suet Cakes
The suet cakes arrived in perfect condition, and easily fit into my small suet feeders.. Was happy to know that there is also a suet, especially for woodpeckers; thus, have ordered those also, as have a larger cage for suet in another area that the Red shafted flicker’s have been frequenting.

Birds will not eat these cakes.
I have used this suet for many years during the winter when the ground is snow covered. Never had an issue with the birds devouring the cakes. There have been two cakes hanging now for two months. The birds won't eat them. Not even the flickers, blackbirds or magpies. It is very disappointing to now have a box of cakes that none of the birds will eat. The suet does not smell rancid. I think there is something very different in this batch making the cakes unappealing even during the winter when food options for the birds are limited.

Wild birds can’t get enough!

So far the birds won’t eat them. They prefer the other kind I have. These might be a total waste of money.

I used this produce to feed the blue jays and woodpeckers. I find it lasts longer.

It’s no easy to find really good suet blocks that don’t fall apart in your hands. This product is better , but the price is ridiculous. Someone needs to make decent blocks at a more reasonable price.
