good for Beginners
I recently picked up this butterfly trainer knife and it’s exceeded my expectations. The build quality is solid—aluminum handles feel sturdy without being too heavy, and the blade (which is blunt for safety) has great balance for flipping. I’ve been practicing tricks and combos, and the motion is smooth thanks to the well-designed pivots. The cutouts in the blade not only make it look sleek but also reduce weight, helping with speed and control. Best part? No sharp edges, so I can train without worrying about cutting myself. Great for both beginners just starting out and experienced flippers looking to refine their moves. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a safe, affordable, and durable trainer! ✅ Pros: Smooth flipping action Sturdy construction Safe for practice Cool design ❌ Cons: Might be a little stiff out of the box, but loosens up quickly with use

Great cheap trainer to learn with
A little heavier than my other trainers and the handles are pretty square but nice balance weight transfer and momentum carrying properties very good for learning rollovers and chapmans the coating started coming off from my ring during use but has good feel and the blade is nice as well not too bulky and NO FLEX/PLAY with handles and blade

AMAZING
Insanely good knife. This trainer is really nice and the noise it makes is heavenly 😫 tbh i would recommend this to beginners or advanced and it feels really good to flip. Pretty light and is easy to flip around. 10/10

Not great quality, good for casual use
If you're just getting into this hobby, it's a good toy to pick up and play with every now and then. Not made for any more serious use. The biggest problem is that the hardware is not good quality, and after only a week, the play and tap are so bad that it's difficult to flip. The blade rubs against the handles every time I open or close it. Also, the trainer comes threadlocked so firmly that there is no way to tighten the screws to fix this issue. If 20 bucks is all you have, it's good for the price, but you get what you pay for.

Great sound, good weight, somewhat bulky grip.
Great sound, dull, quality made with low odds of the hinges coming off or significantly fast wear-and-tear. Can definitely take many blows.

It's quite good but unfortunately after using it for a while it has started to become stiff and not twist as well as it did initially. But still giving it a good score because it was really good brand new and I'm sure I can fix it up with a bit of grease.
