Cut the right size and the hardware seems to be durable. Best choice!!
I have only had these a week now, but they seem like they are going to last.I did not realize how hard it would be to get a set that was cut to the correct length from the start, and have hardware that would not allow slippage. I even order some of the 'top tier' brands and could not get a good set of belts. These work, are sized properly, and have yet to unintentionally loosen. By far the best choice if you are looking for a decent rachet belt set.I will update after I have used these a few months with any additional information.

Where have these been all my life?
This is an amazing product. I hope whoever patented the design makes a lot of money. You no longer have to guess what size belt to buy and the micro-adjustable buckle is fantastic. No more punching new holes every time the belt stretches.

Two for the price of one with a thick and durable design
These belts are functional, durable, and designed to last. I actually like how they describe them in the listing as "overbuilt", because it really does seem that way. These belts are thicker than most that I own, giving them a nice sense of quality and durability. The ratchet buckle is big (not overly so) and solid, with a strong ratcheting mechanism that engages & disengages crisply. The metal on the buckle is all smooth, free of visual defects, and feels precisely designed and manufactured with care. While it doesn't necessarily seem like the belt is leather throughout, the exterior finish is fantastic - it has the look and feel of a high quality leather belt. In this case, I'm specifically referring to the "Brown 01" belt. The "Imperial black" belt is similarly refined, but I'm not as big a fan of the patterned style. Given the chance to order again - I would select the "Basic Black" and "Brown 01" combo. I think among the pairs offered, they offer the most classic & polished style.Nevertheless, at the price point offered - the value of these is such that it almost feels like two for the price of one. Ratchet belts are extremely comfortable and convenient, and this set is no exception. Their 3 year guarantee is an added bonus - though I suspect it's an easy guarantee to make, given how durable the belts appear to be so far.

Fairly typical inexpensive ratchet belts
I've shifted over the years to primarily using ratchet belts. I like them so much more than typical standard 'hole' belts, I even have given them as gifts a few times. My experience has ranged from higher end sturdy 'CCW' belts to the floppy fairly generic leather or leather-like strap with a ratchet head and plastic tracks (and even some that skip the whole tracks and rely on nylon texturing for the 'grab'.This set falls into the fairly floppy but functional category. If you're typically happy with the generic belts off the rack from a large department store, these will likely work just fine for you, and if you're new to ratchet belts, you will likely appreciate the flexibility in sizing and adjustment you get (just be sure you know how to release the ratchet before tightening it up!).If, however, you're looking for a stiff, solid belt to let you efficiently hang heavy objects from it, you'll likely be disappointed. I grabbed these based on reviews from the manufacturer of similar looking single belts that users had claimed they were a good use for such things. These are acceptable light-duty, somewhat floppy belts with some attractive options in the buckles. The leather looks nice enough and time will tell how well it holds up. Overall, for $40 for two belts ($20 each) at the time of this review, it seems a little on the higher side vs. other similar weight belts I've purchased in the past, but it's not an unreasonable rate for a nice looking set.

Really nice belts...not exactly leather
These are beautiful, practical belts that are super easy to adjust. Not exactly leather, but sturdy and tough. The ratchet-style buckles are wonderful. I've never used this type of buckle before. Easy to put on and adjust. No fiddling around when you need to loosen a notch after a too-big dinner. A definite upgrade to the standard belt.Adjusting the size is easy due to the length markings on the inside of the belt. Cut it off to size and slide it into the buckle end and done. Simple. That's another feature I've never seen before. The belts are flexible but strong. I think they will take a lot of abuse without getting ragged. In testing the "leather" claim I cut into one of the belts and had a tough time getting through the material. It's really tough and scratch-resistant.But about that "leather" claim: I think we're looking at something manufactured rather than grown on a cow. The inside of the belt looks distinctly non-leather-like (see photo). That said, whatever material it is takes a serious beating before giving in, and the stitching is real. Even if it's not leather it is pretty tough and a lot more flexible than actual leather. I deducted one star because of the questionable leather claim, but the belts themselves are great. And my Lady Love says they look good, so there's that.

Really Sharp Belts!
I have a couple of Core Essential Steel Reinforced belts that I bought for the purpose of better securing my holster. The only problem with them is that they are TOO stiff for every day comfort. I wanted to find a belt that was more flexible, still had a ratcheting design, but still secure enough so that my sidearm was always secure. When I saw these I thought I'd give them a try. I am very happy I did. They are very nice belts with a great looking buckle. Easy to cut to the size you need (always give yourself a couple extra inches), and easy to operate. They are very pliable, but they aren't flimsy. They are rigid enough for every day use, but stylish enough for getting dressed up. The one thing I always hated about my other ratcheting belts was that the buckles are way to sharp on the corners, and if wear your shirt untucked, and happen to lean against something, you punch little holes in the fabric. That isn't the case with these. They fit great, operate smooth, are very secure and good looking...all at a respectable price.
