Longing and Belonging: The John O’Donohue Audio Original Collection

I've listened to these CD's over and over, again. From a man who died too young. Was so intelligent, insightful, inspiring, John O'Donahue, I love you! ! HIGHLY recommend this set! ! And, all of his work.

This writer/speaker has a most sonorous, lyrical style of delivering extracts from his most wonderful works. There is no end to the delight of just tuning in for one disc or listening to just part of one--and because of this style of speaking it's a kind of easing of the mind that occurs, while stimulating, thought-provoking, heart opening experiences for the listener. Highly recommend to people who have trouble reading because of vision, but still wish to hear a deep and lovely text.

If you appreciate John's writings you'll love hearing him speak. I was a little concerned about the audio quality as I think some of these were recorded events, not just interviews. However the audio quality is excellent. Hours of audio that you'll want to listen to again and again.

I love his writings and essays on memory, sense of belonging, the soul, etc etc...it has changed my life. It is such a joy to listen to him recite his own works in his beautiful lyrical Gaelic lilt.

This collection is great. It is "Anam Cara" on steroids! I is a wonderful blend of personal experience, Celtic beliefs, and spiritually. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to have a better understanding of the soul. The world lost a great Irish poet, philosopher, and teacher much to soon.

It is wonderful to have this complete collection to hear John O'Donohue's words in his own voice. Thankfully we still have his musings about life. He covers many topics in this large collection of his work.

I love this collection and I am so happy to have the ability to listen to this man speak his wisdom and humor to those of us who miss his physical presence.

These CDs will enrich the rest of my life.

If I could rate this a ten I would. I am on disc 12 - there are 29 discs - and I am thrilled with this purchase. It is worth every penny. I love John O'Donohue's accent and his gentle voice. I feel that I am healing as I listen to his wise and loving words. If you like Celtic spirituality and Irish wisdom you will enjoy this set of cds.
