Best Catparent Thing EVER
I love this Smart litter box. It does everything it claims to do, and my cats really appreciate it. I have three cats using it currently, one is a young rescue kitten. As soon as he followed one of the big cats into the robot, he was shown what it was for. From then on, he has used it faithfully. One of my adult cats is a "miss priss" when it comes to the litter box. If there was even one poop in the old flat box, she'd go just outside the box to show her distaste. Now she gets a clean box for every visit, and no more stray poops to round up. You can't tell we have multiple cats, or even one cat by the smell, because there isn't any. Also, it doesn't require any special litter. I just get the bargain brand clumping litter and it works perfectly. Cleanup is a breeze. I never have to scoop. I just tie up and remove the waste tray liner bag and pop another in. Odor is almost completely contained while servicing the robot. If you have a cat, you need this. It costs about the same as the annual vet visit, good investment.

Came nonfunctional
It tells you not to open the door but when I took off the white casing Uber the door you pull it off and then there you go while the door was already open and I thought well it says not to mess with it so I'm not going to so I plug it in I do all the steps Uber and Uber day after day week after week and nothing ever happened like a plug then you can see that it plugs in but then nothing so now I'm gonna have to return it because I haven't even got to use it or even put it together I couldn't even get into it to put it together because you're not Supposed to touch the door does it on its own so to do everything the right way I am not able to Put the inside of it together so I'm gonna have to send the whole thing back and I do not I'm going through this again I am so done with electronic stuff for animals

worked great for a month then stopped cleaning
I love this litter box for the last month, but today it stops cleaning the litter. I called Amazon customer service for them not to help me but it is 8 days past the return date. I need this replaced with a different automated litter box.

So far, wonderful
I purchased this before Christmas but just set it up this week. It was a bit difficult to put together to get the tray just right so that the red light would go off. Once in place it has worked like a dream. It has eliminated any cat odor concern, so clean so easy to change and easily holds 2 weeks worth for one cat and my kitty cat is a frequent user. As long as it continues this way it's worth every penny. I had one of the flat electronic litter box cleaners that has sort of a rake action that rakes the debris into the front heart attack her heart attack of the box and you toss the entire box at the end of the use. They were supposed to last about 3 weeks I was lucky to get two weeks out of it and the trays were on the pricey side. This seems to keep the litter much cleaner and I don't have to clean a rake. I really like this and pray that it will continue working as intended. I'll update if there any changes, but for now I would highly suggest this for anyone with a kitty cat that does not like to change a litter box, puts a whole new spin on my kitty cats care

Doesn't work...but see edit
We really hoped this product would be a chore helper...it is not. ours doesn't scoop at all, we are still doing all the work. Tried trouble shooting and it still will not scoop. I am going back to the old fashioned litter box and this is going straight to the trash bin.Update: We had success in getting the unit to work (we read through all the comments and found some tips)1. Customer service actually contacted me! I received 3 messages from them. They offered help, refund and a new unit. So, if you are having issues, they want to help, be sure to reach out. We opted for help only.2. Although exceedingly frustrated, we decided to continue troubleshooting (walking away every once in a while, to curb frustration) What we found is the unit is super sensitive when it comes to the bag/bin. If not in place (perfectly) the unit doesn't function. I think this is most likely a safety feature, so your cat doesn't get scooped up. Our issue was the bag setting blocking the sensor.3. We will update again if needed. So far, working as it's supposed to. Fingers crossed,

Great solution with only one complaint.
This is the perfect litter box for my two, very picky, cats. It's so good that I bought two of them. It's also great for me as I'm temporarily disabled and this is so so much better than having to deal with twice daily scooping. One cat hopped in straightaway and was reliably using it from the first day. The other cat took about a week or so to warm up to it and I gave it another week before removing the regular litter box. There have been zero incidents since switching them over. The only complaint I have is that it needs a better seal between the main compartment and the step. I have two of these and both leak to varying degrees. One of the cats likes to pee as close to the opening as possible so, often, the pee ends up in the step. It's dead easy to clean and, unlike with all the other litter boxes, the pee does stay contained rather than end up on the floor so that's nice. But, I wish it didn't happen at all.

makes and ungodly awful griding noise
I have now had this item for about a year. And here is the truth. There is no easy way to get litter inside the box, the opening is too small to pour it in from the front. The back that holds the waste, is very small, basically needs emptied every other day or two. It was quiet for the first few months, then about month 4 or 5 the noises from it got louder, now it makes an awful af grinding noise when flipping the waste into the top bin. One of our cats is actually a new baby, THIS IS NOT FOR KITTENS, he got stuck inside one time and the door closed on him cause he was so small. But honestly the grinding noise every single time it cleans itself now is ungodly, it literally sounds like the damn thing is going to fall apart. I'm already on the hunt for a new litter box entirely.
