A decent portable radio that comes with a foam lined storage case.
Another radio for my emergency radio collection. I live in a very remote area. So, the NOAA function is nice but useless to me. I need a tuned J-Pole antenna to receive the signal, and this radio does not have any external antenna connector. The compass works. But it seems gimmicky. It's hard to read from a few feet away. I would rather have had an external antenna connector. Flashlights and sirens on radios make them seem less serious too.As for SW, FM, and AM this radio performs very well. I find the dial a bit difficult to read even with the dial illumination LEDs on. But the thumbwheel is easy to manipulate (with your thumb!) while holding the radio. The reception is above average but as for DX'ing the very weak stations are lost somewhere in the tuner and screened out. (DSP?) I have better radios for DX'ing. SW capability seems strong with a clip on long wire antenna attached. I had to use my own, as this radio did not come with one. The speaker sounds nice for talk or music. There is no EQ but it seems well balanced.USB type C is handy. Comes with a charging cord. There is a very long use time with the battery fully charged. Or I can use the radio as a power bank. I get more than one full charge for my cell phone and up to a 29 percent charge for the second day if I don't use the radio. You can't play the radio while using the power bank feature for charging external devices. No big deal. The hand crank works as expected, and charging via wall plug takes about 4-5 hours. I left it plugged in overnight. For the technically minded, the amount of available power could be easily upgraded with a 3-4k Amp hour battery. The carry case protects the radio and fits an accessory cord and the instruction manual perfectly. Nice design with hinges and clasps. Nice for travel. The radio is secure until you take it out of the case. The flashlight is very bright and projects. BT connects easily and USB slot plays well. There is a TF card slot, that I have not used yet. This is a good radio. Nice size, not too small.I wonder if they will come out with an LED screen model. It would be easier to navigate the channels. There is a channel scan feature but distant stations won't be captured. Better to manually tune them in. Overall a good value in radios...

Reliability
I believe I have tried every mfg's analog version of this crank radio. Every digital tuning model had to be returned because of some defect upon arrival. This brand with the analog tuning arrived in good working order. I have been tempted to order another as a possible gift, but am a little put off but the other brands' defects, so I shall wait until I feel more optimistic. On a positive note, as an owner of at least a dozen small radios ranging in price from 10 to 200 USD, this radio is one of my favorites. Although the analog dial is quite inaccurate, this is not a problem for me as I can remember the linear dial locations of the three MW stations that I listen to. Also, I use the scanning feature a lot of the time as it is good at finding my preferred stations. The large speaker is no doubt a lot of the reason for the good sound. When and if I order another from this company, I shall report on the quality upon arrival.

DON'T BUY THIS!!!
This is my second unit. This one failed exactly as the first! Controls completely locked up. Cannot turn on or off, change input, nothing. Could use a reset button or even a removable battery to reset. This is a sealed unit, so you are stuck with what it want to do (which is nothing)! DO NOT BUY THIS!!! Instead look for a radio with removable battery for easy reset.

Compact and handy
This radio is awesome! Does as advertised and stores nicely in the box. Definitely a must have if you experience power outages. The solar charger or hand crank means almost never ending run time.
