Heavy Duty Timer Switch 30A 6500w IP55 water resistant (Smart Wifi)

A really good switch, I’m using it on my immersion water heater during the summer months for hot water because I have solar panels. Easy to wire up, easy to connect to WiFi and easy to programme using the SmartLife app. Plus there’s a manual override button on the switch itself.

Works well, simple to set up. The space for the wiring connections is a bit limited for 30A sized cable and makes it a bit of a struggle to connect up. Supplier initially sent the wrong item but swiftly provided the correct item with no problems.

Worked well for about a week and now it has stopped responding. Will now not appear in app and therefore not pair. What I now have is a very expensive manual switch!

This is a nice unit. I used it to solve an issue where some lights errored out every night and needed a power cycle to fix. This unit handled the capacity and is water proof so perfect for the job. App is easy to use and has worked flawlessly.

Very happy with unit. connected to WiFi no problem at all using smart life app only issue I can mention is that it is very tight and a little awkward trying to wire but very straight forward.

Brilliant product. We had our electrician wire it in and have since linked to Alexa, we now ask alexa to turn the lights outside on or off. I understand you can also set timers but we haven't done this yet as would prefer to turn on when we want them on. If Internet goes off there is a manual switch under a cover within the device so can be overridden. Would recommend this product.

There was nothing in the details of the product to state this will only work on 2.4 GHz. Only found this out having wired it in and investigating why it would not pair with my iPad. There are also no written instructions on how to set it up and use it. Only instructions were how to mount it on a wall/post or similar! All in all good idea but totally useless because description doesn’t state the most important requirement.

Looks like a well made product and it might work fine but the Amazon description doesn't say that it only works with 2.4GHz wifi or that you need to pay a subscription to get it working. For this reason I am only giving it 1 star. The description should make this clear so the potential buyer knows all the facts. I managed to overcome the 2.4 GHz issue by making a setting change to my router but I have no intention of paying a subscription to use it !
