I picked these up because my MacBook Air only has the smaller USB-C ports, but I occasionally need to use regular USB devices like flash drives. These solved the problem immediately. I plugged one into the MacBook, connected my USB drive, and it recognized it without any setup or messing around with settings. The adapters are small and feel surprisingly sturdy for something this inexpensive. The connection is snug on both ends and I haven't had an issue with anything disconnecting while using it. I also really like that you get two. I keep one with my laptop and the other with my other computer accessories. Nothing fancy, but they do exactly what they're supposed to do, and that is really all I wanted. Very handy little adapters to have around, especially if you've moved to a newer laptop but have older USB accessories you aren't ready to replace.

Does not work with devices with cases. Works fine on bare iPhone/iPad/tablet or laptop. But I could not get them to go in deep enough to make contact with cases on my devices.

This is the second time I've bought this USB-A / USB-C adapter. A while back, I discovered, too late, that I couldn't use my Meeting Owl with my MacBook because my MacBook only has USB-C inputs or HDMI. Now I keep an adapter with the Meeting Owl kit so that it's never an issue. Most recently, I went to scan some new CDs I had purchased and discovered that my older DVD & CD reader/writer has a USB-A interface. It wouldn't work even when connecting it through an Apple multiport adapter. However, using the Syntecch adapter let me plug the DVD/CD external device directly into my MacBook and I was able to get it to work. What a relief! Such a useful adapter to have around if you have any equipment that doesn't use USB-C. Thank you for making this!

Exactly what I was looking for and the perfect size! It’s just big enough for the USB input to slip in, so no unnecessary bulk. Perfect for connecting devices or wires to newer MacBooks that only have USB-C inputs now.

This actually allowed me to use my hard drive, which I thought was broken. Now, I realize that my regular USB ports in my laptop are trash. Will be using this for all my hard drives all the time.
