Great addition

Good display, long battery life, 2 ways of mounting remote and easy to use and makes it easy to operate 360 which makes things more enjoyable and less likely to miss the moment. I wouldn’t like to be without it now.

Easily control your insta 360x4 when it is out of reach, on motorcycle. Can add gps tracking info to your video in real time. Battery time is very good.

No issue with the seller but the add was not clear and I purchased this is good faith that it was compatible with the Insta360 X3. Spent hours trying to connect them and finally gave up and contacted Insta360 support to be told it is not compatible with the Insta360 X3. Item returned.

Nothing about the remote is any good.1. There is no lock for the screen so any slight touch of the screen will change settings or pop you into the format screen where you have to press record twice to start recording. If you're lucky it will keep the format you want but sometimes while you think you're recording a video only to find it was a photo.2. The screen is way to small for setting up if you are using as an action camera, so for running you can't judge anything and even walking it's not ideal. Indeed if you want to set up a shot (and record gps) you're better off using your phone and saving £1503. I can start recording on my phone with a £4 bluetooth device so why can't you do the same for an action cam ? Basically because Insta360 and to be fair GoPro are trying to gouge extra cash out of you.4. The gps is useless and the Insta360 app is useless for overlaying data as it will only use the current video clip, great for bike rides but spend the money you save on a copy of Telemetry Overlay if you want to use gps routes from the whole run/walk etc and you don't shoot the whole event.5. If you do try and lock the screen by going to the watch you have to press twice to record, alright it does beep but the record button should record.I really wanted this remote to be good, it doesn't need the screen which could be done from your phone and a simple remote like the GoPro while flipping expensive at least works.The trouble with Insta360 is they seem to abandon their products very quickly so I'm not expecting any updates to fix the locking up or freezing screen any time soon or for the Ace Pro to get support for other bluetooth devices and it's a choice Insta360 have made so that's why I returned it.

Amazing what they have packed into this tiny device. Connects quickly to my X4 with preview and mode settings. Very simple to use and setup. Highly recommend despite rather hefty price!

Although a useful piece of kit to control my X4 it's let down by the fact that the watch strap is so short it won't fit most male wrists and you have no hope of wearing it over a glove. I'm currently trying to find/make something I can use as a strap extender.

I wanted the remote to be great but should have gone on the negative reviews rather than the YouTube videos which mostly said it was good. After a few times trying to use it on the bike I'll give up and just attach my Ace pro to to a Garmin cycle mount where I can view the start/ stop/ settings a lot easier on the actual camera. Last trip I had my Ace Pro set to a Biking preset 4K etc when I viewed the footage at home the remote had changed the setttings to 1080p. As another reviewer stated there is no lock on the remote to stop a miss-hit changing settings.Maybe great when you set your camera up in the garden to remotely turn it on to catch wildlife/birds but I just didn't find it practical on the bike for a price tag of nearly £150. Very hard to use with any type of glove as well. The idea is very good and it connects ok to the camera but for cycling in my humble opinion not worth the cost.
