Portable, perfect, pricey
Super lightweight and portable because it's the size of a smartphone. Great resolution and detail for reading when using regal or HD display settings, or fast refreshing for browsing or video. Display has a light that the brightness and color temp can be automatic or manual. Android OS allows for using your favorite apps, like Libby and Kindle (and I also use an app to control my home devices like my wifi lights). Device has a back camera, but one drop and the camera glass is already shattered on mine. I like having this little device with me to allow me to read with little distraction and save my phone battery. It's wonderful for reading outside in the sun! If it wasn't exactly what I was wanting, the price would be too much. I hope it lasts!

Love this thing
Great e-ink fablet thing. Love it so much. I use it all the time and I definitely can't recommend this product enough. Got it after my Kindle spontaneously combusted shortly after turning it on. I love this, with or without a case. It feels great in the hands and I like the backlighting and temperature control feature. The camera is almost worthless because it is b+w so idk why they included it. After a few months of use, it started to ghost really badly but after a recent update it seemed to help ghost less than it did. Great for use with the Aurora store and any Google Play apps. Love that it can do games and such. It has limited functionality when restricting app permissions and doesn't allow access to developer options (at least not that I've found). But for what it does I would recommend. When and if this thing goes I will buy the next version. Many people had issues charging it and screen problems. I charge it to 100% and travel with it all the time so idk what they are talking about. I have a case and screen protector for it and haven't dropped it significantly so maybe that plays a part? I haven't experienced screen glitches or problems other than heavy ghosting. I think you should baby it a little since it is a e-ink device but YMMV.

Beware ghosting, but a good buy for avid readers
After having this for several months I have a few thoughts. It IS expensive for what it is. The storage space is nice, you can get a ton of books on it. I have not tried the expandable memory yet. The biggest draw for me was the ability to download all my reading apps on one device. The native e-reader app it has is decent as well. You can download books directly on it and the format is generally good. The battery life is decent, I'll charge it once a week with light usage, more if I'm reading a lot. It's small and I like the portability. The biggest drawback was the ghosting. I had an issue with severe ghosting that made me stop using it for a couple months. None of the fixes worked, it was unusable. I turned it off and left it for a month or so and recently turned it back on- no issues. Not sure where the trouble came from but be warned it's something that could happen. I'm getting back into using it regularly and as long as the ghosting doesn't cause issues again, I'll say it's worth the money depending on how much you intend to use it.

Great device, a bit too many features which raised the cost
Love this device. While I do think the price is to high, the specs show why they priced where they did. I think the company would do better to lessen some of the specs which would in turn make the device more affordable. Price aside, I love this device for its portability. Being able to have all the different book echo systems on one very portable device is why I kept the device. I am not comparing the battery life to the Kindle. I always compare battery life to the device I have to charge every single day. As this device is basically a phone without the phone, the battery life cannot be compared to the Kindle. This device does so much more than the Kindle it is not a fair comparison. Kind of wish I found this company sooner, would never have purchased a Kindle device at all. Boox as a company is well worth the higher cost as the build quality is so good on their devices. Reference on my experience with the company Boox: I currently own the Page as well, thinking of getting the Poke and getting rid of my Kindles. Not in a rush as I want my next device to be either the Page or Poke in color. Their most portable color device currently is to big as all I do is read.

I loved it while it worked
I recently purchased the Boox Palma after losing my Kindle Paperwhite, and it has proven to be an excellent alternative in terms of functionality and features. The Palma has helped prolong my cellphone battery life, as I often find myself reaching for it when I'm bored/waiting. The ability to download school materials directly from the web has also been a huge convenience. However, within just two weeks of receiving the product, two lines appeared in the middle of the screen. Unfortunately, the issue worsened throughout the day, making the device unusable. While I was initially impressed with the Palma, this defect has been disappointing.

So convenient. Very snappy.
I love this device purely because of the size. It’s apart of my daily carry and I’ve started to read so much more because I bring this wherever I go. There have been many times that I’ve been waiting on something or someone and instead of scrolling on social media I can just whip this out to read for a few minutes. I have the Boox nova 3 and it’s super light in comparison which also makes it easier to read comfortable in bed. Another benefit is that I can download useful apps since I don’t have a smart phone. If it was a phone it would literally be perfect. The OS is also faster than other e ink devices that I’ve used and the reading experience on kindle (the app I use the most) is very pleasant and fast.

It could use some improvement
There are good and not so good things about this item. Good: It is portable. About the size of a modern cell phone. The screen is glare free and easy to read. The intensity and color temperature of the back light can be changed The e-ink display again makes for easy reading. There are various fonts you can choose. The sizes of fonts can be changed. The case seems well made. The case,on the back, is textured. Making it easy to handle. Improvements that could be made. The item uses Android OS #11. Somewhat dated OS. Since the most recent is #13. Having tried to update it through the settings page, it remains at #11. So it maybe stuck on #11. There is a camera. However: nowhere in the OS is the camera mentioned. You need to access the "document scanner " ap. It has a port for a micro SD card. Nowhere is the reference to capacity limit of the SD card. I inserted a 1TB card. This card appears to not be recognized by the item. No place is it mentioned as too large or not formatted correctly. So, I don't know the problem. Every other eReader I have or have had, has a dark mode. This one does not. At least that in can find. BTW the included quick start guide is worthless. I pretty much consists of one page of each available language. Even then the text is too small to easily read. So, all in all, I give this eReader a 3. I would certainly like to hear from the manufacturer, of this item, if any of my criticisms are just because I can't find the correct settings.

Thin, lightweight and very usable.
I just received this Boox Palma a few days ago and I’ve already fallen in love with it. I bought it to replace my aging Kindle. So far it has far exceeded my expectations. As an e-reader, it’s amazing, especially when using the light to read in bed at night. I’ve also started using it for reading email and news in the morning. I would normally use my iPhone for checking emails and reading the news first thing in the morning. After switching to this device, it has significantly reduced the eye strain that I have felt after using my phone for two or three hours a day. I am probably looking at my phone about an hour a day now, the home screen took a while to figure out and it took a while to sync, my Gmail, but those are the only two issues I’ve had and I wouldn’t call them issues. They’re more like inconveniences. The battery life is great on Sunday. I used it for three or four hours as a e-reader , and it only used about 35% of the battery. Highly recommend this device if you were looking for a replacement reader and an alternative device to your phone for reading email and the news.

Ottimo

He aumentado mis horas de lectura gracias a Boox palma
Jamás he leído tanto como ahora. Lo recomiendo muchísimo.
