I have an old Firestick that still works fine for what I do, but the remote started freezing, sometimes after a minute, other times after an hour or even a day. To get it un-froxzenm i would have to take the battery out (removing just one worked), then put it back in, and the remote would work again, sometimes for a minute, but at lease I could use it! I tried a complete reset of the remote, but again it worked for an short time then was back to the same freeze-up behavior. The new one was very inexpensive, and seems to be an exact replacement. Amazon knows what firestick I have, and on the page with the new remote, there was a little message that confirmed that I was looking at the right replacement. The pairing went fine, and it didn't take any other button pushing (in my case) for the new remote to control the TV and the soundbar. If there are any problems, I'll update this review but if a few weeks pass and you don't see any complaints, it means the remote is working well.

Bought it but didn’t even use it. I’m sure it works like it should

Was looking to replace remote in kids room. Could not get to work. It was another problem not remote so i replaced with a new fire stick. I then paired remote with my fire cube in Livingroom. I can not tell you How convient it was to have 2 remotes for same devices. no more passing remote back and forth wit wife. I am getting another for bedroom.

took a few tries to get it to connect. turns out you have to get the timing EXACTLY right. what that means is: if they say wait 15 seconds, wait 15 seconds exactly, not more, not less. eventyally connected, and works as expected.

I had it set up and working with my Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Plus in just a few minutes. It seems sturdy and seems like it will hold up. Pairing was done in just a few minutes. It also supported the TV's volume control (an Element TV). Appearance and feel are very similar to the original remote. It does not work with my 32" Insignia Fire TV.

This remote works great. It was a really fair price and it was delivered very promptly. I was using a broken remote for months and I feel silly because I could’ve spent seven or eight dollars and got this perfectly great working remote instead of the crazy angles and intermittent working I dealt with. Don’t waste time an old remote that has passed its prime and let it retire with dignity. You did good old man, but let the kid come in and take the workload.
