Pete & Pedro Kerasmooth Shampoo

This is a thick, creamy shampoo that works very effectively on my long, fine hair and it smells really nice, too. The product description states that this shampoo is unscented, which I take to mean it has no added fragrance. But, it does have a light, almost citrusy/herbal scent that must be from one or more of the ingredients that I find very pleasant. It doesn't linger very long and I don't notice it at all once my hair is dry. The shampoo is a translucent white in color and I only need about a nickel-sized dollop for my dry, easily tangled hair. It feels smooth and rich without being heavy and it works up into a luxe, finely textured lather that rinses away completely. It leaves my hair squeaky clean but it doesn't dry it out further. It doesn't contribute to tangling, so I can also comb my hair out easily after using this shampoo, even without a conditioner, which doesn't happen very often. My hair looks shiny and feels healthier with a nice boost in volume and less damage noticeable at the ends. The rather small size of the bottle (just over 8 ounces) makes this shampoo rather pricey, but it really does wonders for my hair, so I think it is worth it. I've only used it a few times so far, but I'm hoping that with continued use, it will also help strengthen my rather fragile hair.

I like the very mild scent of this shampoo. I also like how it's thicker than the 'meh' shampoo I've been looking to replace (Pantene) because it doesn't just run out of my hand and down the drain. I can also say that the conditioning properties are better than other shampoo+conditioner products I've tried, but to be honest, I still use a followup conditioner because my hair is too dry/frizzy otherwise. My biggest complaint stems from not being accustomed to buying these higher-priced products. For a similar cost, I could get 4-5 times the quantity of my previous shampoo. That said, I'll still consider buying another bottle when the time comes. I'd rather support a small company than a huge mega-corp.

Style: i) Kerasmooth I like this shampoo. Works well with the type of hair that I have. It's thin and aged and needs all of the help that it can get. Also, it tends to oil up somewhat easily, though not as badly as when I was much younger. On top of that, just to confuse matters, I now sometimes suffer from an itchy scalp at times. So far, this shampoo works well with both issues. First off, it cleans well. Gets all of the dirt, oil and build up out from my hair and scalp. Smells nice too while using. Sort of like a bit of a grapefruit smell, but I'm not at all sure what I'm smelling. Rinses away easily and without having to keep rinsing for too long. Moisturizes my hair and scalp without leaving unwanted waxy residuals in my hair. Once dry, it's not heavy feeling or overly moisturized. Definitely not straw like either. There's a nice clean silkiness to my hair, yet it feels and looks nice and clean. Leaves me with a nice clean healthy head of hair.

Pete & Pedro's KERASMOOTH shampoo smells pleasantly floral and does a great job of cleaning my long straight hair. It doesn't make me itch, but I do have to continue to alternate usage with a dandruff shampoo like I do with all of my regular shampoos. My hair has better shine and I love that this formula is able to do it without sulfates, parabens or alcohols. I checked the ingredient list, and it looks like they do it without silicones too! Almost everything on the ingredient list seems to be 1-3 per EWG with the exception of fragrance and Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate (2-5, but it can be higher if used in an inhalable product). I like that argan oil, panthenol and hydrolyzed keratin is right in the middle of the ingredient list. Overall, this is a nice formula, and I like that I don't have to use too much to get my hair clean. This is a great shampoo but at a high price. It is quite thick so you don't need to use as much, but for such a small bottle (6 oz), I think does not last as long as I would want. It has a gentle scent and leaves my hair feeling smooth. I have bleached then dyed hair so the shine it can get with the existing damage is a bit limited and I won't comment on that. I would recommend this shampoo if you want to support a smaller business at the increased price.

I'm so happy that I was able to try this Pete and Pedro Kera Smooth Shampoo. Even the bottle is beautiful. The only decoration being a cute, little pink donkey. I wish the bottle was larger but thankfully only a small amount of shampoo is required to make a nice, rich lather. I want to use this shampoo sparingly because I would like this shampoo to last as long as possible. I tried the shampoo this morning, it has left my hair very soft and silky. It feels healthy and pretty. I think that this shampoo is a wonderful product. This is a nice moisture adding shampoo perfect for our dry winter months. The shampoo has a nice, slight citrus fragrance, that makes you think of tropical places. I consider this a luxury shampoo and couldn't normally afford it. It is a wonderful product of the highest quality. It is true to its promise for Bueno Hair!
